The Glazers have revealed that they will lower ticket prices for Tampa Bay Bucs by as much as 30% after complaints from the fans.

“We have spent a lot of time listening to fans at a time when our team is thriving and our economy is not,” said Joel Glazer. “As a result, we are now offering several pricing changes in response to our community’s needs.”

Unsurprisingly, MUST have got something to say on the matter, claiming that considering it is our club the Glazers have been taking money from, it is our fans who should enjoy the price cuts.

“Joel Glazer said he’s listened to the Tampa fans. Well it’s about time he listened to Manchester United fans and responded by cutting our ticket prices too,” said MUST Vice Chair Sean Bones. “Manchester United supporters should not feel they are subsidising the Glazers’ American Football Franchise as well as their debt. After the huge price rises our fans have endured while the Glazers have been taking out millions of pounds from our club if anything we deserve bigger price cuts than the Tampa fans. Anything other than an equivalent cut in prices at Manchester United will be seen as a slap in the face for United fans.”

Unfortunately, whilst Joel may claim the reason for lowering ticket prices is that they are listening to the fans, the truth is they can’t sell their tickets at current prices. After 13 consecutive years of sellouts, Tampa Bay’s attendance averaged 49,314 in 2010 whilst their stadium holds more than 65,000. The team failed to sell out any of its games for the first time in more than a decade.
