The Dimitar Berbatov transfer worked out fairly well for United in the end. We didn’t get him for the price we wanted, but we got him, and that’s all that matters now. As a bonus, we also got to loan out Frazier Campbell to Spurs, who wouldn’t get a look in at United this year, where he gets Premiership and European experience, result.
Spurs fans were on to a rumour that a permanent deal had been done for the young striker, however Sir Alex Ferguson has today confirmed that Campbell will definitely be returning to United next season.
“Fraizer will come back here, there is no question about that,” said the United boss. “The idea for him was to get some experience, so it has been good for him in that respect. He has produced some fantastic performances for Tottenham and I am delighted for the boy because he is going to be a good player. His future is here.”
