It has been reported this evening that Manchester United have agreed to sell Ashley Young to Inter Milan for £1.3m.

A few weeks ago, the media broke the news that Young was keen to leave the club, with his contract set to expire in the summer. United apparently offered him a new deal which he turned down, having made up his mind to leave. The emergence of Brandon Williams has likely influenced United in allowing Young to leave.

Young is set to complete a medical on Friday in Milan and then will join up with former reds Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, who is currently on loan. Young has already agreed terms with the Italian club.

The deal reportedly includes an add-on fee if Inter win the league. They are currently second in the table, two points behind Juventus.

His departure will raise the question of who will be our captain for the rest of the season, with Harry Maguire to take on the armband.
