Manchester United have today confirmed that Paul Pogba will be leaving the club this summer after repeatedly rejecting the club’s offers of extending his contract.
This will be the second time he leaves on a free transfer after United paid £89m to bring him back to Old Trafford in the summer of 2016.
The Frenchman has little to show for the six seasons during his second stint, with winners’ medals for the Europa League and League Cup from his first season. Pogba scored in the final against Ajax, which will go down as one of his few highlights.
A new documentary about the players is set to be released later this month where he will reportedly reveal his next destination. With the likes of PSG and Real Madrid showing no interest, it is likely the midfielder will take a pay cut to return to Juventus.
United’s official website paid tribute to Pogba when confirming that he will not be at the club next season.
Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Paul on his successful career, and thank him for his contributions to Manchester United. We wish him all the best for the next steps on a remarkable journey
