Reports today suggest that Manchester United have made their first move for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. We’ve apparently offered £40m for the 21-year-old but they are holding out for £60m.

Wan-Bissaka made 35 league appearances for Palace last season after making his breakthrough from the academy the season before.

Having started his career as a winger, he could help provide the attacking threat down the right flank that United have been missing in recent seasons.

The defender distanced himself from a move away from his boyhood club recently, pointing to the fact he has three years remaining on his contract, but it’s worth noting he’s currently earning around £15,000-a-week at Palace which would be significantly improved if he signed for United.

Wan-Bissaka is about to set off to Italy with England U-21s to compete in the Euros having received his first call up for them last September.
