Reports today claim that Flamengo president Patricia Amorim has revealed that Manchester United have agreed to sign 16-year old midfielder Adryan.
After impressing during the South American Under-17 Championship, scoring in their 4-3 win over Venezuela, their 2-1 win against Chile and 3-1 win over Ecuador, United invited Adryan to come to Carrington on trial.
Last week, Amorim apparently said he was in no rush to sell the U-17 Brazilian midfielder and a few weeks ago tied him to a longer term deal, which expires in 2014.
The reports came from Italy today with Juventus having previously expressed an interest in the youngster.
The news won’t will received well by the Flamengo fans, whose club have retired the number 12 shirt for the fans, thanks to their status as the “12th man”.
