Manchester United made hard work of beating League 1 side Rochdale on Wednesday night, with the game finishing 1-1 and going to penalties.
Mason Greenwood scored his second goal in two games, another great finish, to give United the lead, but less than 10 minutes later the visitors equalised.
As you’d expect, United dominated the chances in the game with 31 to Rochdale’s five, but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard were among the players with great opportunities to score but struggled to put their chances away.
The game went to penalties and United, thankfully, scored all five, while Sergio Romero saved one, to put us through to the next round.
We will now play Chelsea, who we beat 4-0 at Old Trafford a few weeks ago, away from home.
