Phhhheeww !!
That was close indeed.Had almost given up hopes until Carlitos showed his true worth with some dogged work and a superb cross. Berba getting into a decent run of scoring goals which hopefully will be carried forward. A thoroughly deserved win.Just hope Everton do us a favour and nick one off the Spanish sissieboy.Damn i hope those kidney stones take a detour and get stuck up Rafa's arse.

Two details.United have got 3 more points in these first 21 Premiership matches than they had in the exact ones last season.Oh and that was our tenth clean sheet.Congratulations obviously to VDS and Vida who were there in every game but especially congrats to Evans. What a player!

What do you think of this, in the same style as Anderson’s & with the first three lines first heard on here in September (just getting feedback):

Berba-tov tov tov
He Told City to Fuck Off
Berba-tov tov tov
He’ll beat any centre half

He don’t laugh
He don’t smile
But he sure has lots of style

Goals he’ll bring
Like the King
So it’s BERBATOV we sing….

Tom, I think the last line of the first para needs changing, it doesn’t quite fit in. Think we need to find another way to get the last word of it to rhyme with ‘-ov’, IMVHO

Class song Tom. Its brilliant that we've taken the lead in Jan and I'd love to see FSW getting embarrased by Everton.

The legend that is Steve Bruce has confirmed that another club has come in with a bid for Palacios. Does anyone know whether that club is United??

I don't think it's United.I think it's the team across town.Or maybe they are holding Daniel the cunt Levy for more money.Wouldn't that be something? As if he has never done it before!

@ Gere - Tevez was far from fantastic today. None of them were. But take nothing away from Tevez's determination right to the end to make that goal .

You know what worries me?The situation with the away games doesn't seem to improve. No matter what team we put out,we can't take control of these games and kill them off.At first we thought that we were playing tough away games and we were right in a way.Bolton shouldn't have been this hard even without Rooney. The Hawthorns will be a good test. But the tough away games are not over.We have to go to Wigan(who last week showed how far they have come) and to rejuvanated Fulham.Away from home we have scored more than one goals only at Blackburn. Also this season was the first one in the Premiership years we didn't win either at Goodison Park or Villa Park. Two of our favorite away grounds.Well at least the defensive displays are better than ever.Does anyone else agree with me when i say that Vidic and Evans are our players of the month?

I'm pretty sure it is us in for palacios, hargreaves short-term replacement, scholes in the long-term

I read in a website that actually there is a 15mil pound offer for Valencia, not Palacios.Even though he was very good on Wednesday(albeit against O'Shea) didn't we just sign Tosic?I find it hard to believe any of this.SAF said that there will be no newcomers apart from the Serbs and i believe him.Palacios seemed like a good prospect but i don't think he will be better than Anderson in the long term.

I've got a Berbatov song, I heard it on youtube a while ago, it goes to the tune of the Anderson song as well, it goes :

Berba-tov,tov,tov
He told city to fuck off

Berba-tov,tov,tov
He showed Spurs he was the boss

30 Mil?
That's alright,
He's now our number 9

Berba-tov,tov,tov
He told city to fuck off

Costas: Don't be too negative about todays game and our away form. Bolton away is never an easy game and we are showing that we still can grind out these 1-0 results. It is something we have been renowned for. I accept that we are not hitting the heights of last season but its the 3 points that really matter. We are top of the league, 10 clean sheets berba has scored 3 in 4 premier league games. Things aren't that bad. I agree we won't be buying Palacios or anyone for that matter in this transfer window. And yes Vidic is player of the month, in fact season so far.

Great cross from Tevez, most players (aside from our own) would have fallen down with their arms to the sky, asking for a foul. Not Carlitos. Great header from Bervatov, great control.

God that was kick ass! I was about to turn it off I was so frustrated with all the possession and nothing to show for it. Just shows never give up on United. I wouldn't be surprised if we go for Palacios. I have been reading about how the Glazers won't spend any money because of the economy but i'm not sure. Maybe it's because i'm american but they don't seem so bad to me, things have looked pretty damn good since they took over. They get shit on everywhere though. Here people complain they care too much about United, in england they get shit on because they're yanks and couldn't know how to own a club. One thing is they want to win,why just yesterday they fired the coach and general manager of their football team one year after giving them an extension. So it cost them 25 million just to fire them let alone pay their replacements. The team fell apart after a good start and it looked evident it was from poor coaching and player evaluation, Jon Gruden the ex-coach was a media darling too, it would have been easy to give him another year and save the money, but they made the hard call . Maybe it's time to cut em a little slack? I could be wrong though

was very worried about his form earlier in the season having been spoilt by some of the previous forwards we signed that had made immediate impressions like Yorke, Cole, Ruud, Eric and Ole.But fair play to the man he's starting to play like a big time striker we all know he is. while he remains infuriating at times because of his devil may care attitude, when he turns it he is quite simply fantastic . Well done Dimitar now go on and shit on that hijo da puta at anfailed for the rest of the season

Costas n King Eric, good shout, my Palacios hopes appear to be dashed...Bruce said it's not us in for him so it's city...thought Fergie might re-think the window's transfer policy with Hargreaves out etc but £16 mill for Tosic and Lajlic is enough for one window I guess....Anderson is going to have to start performing in the next season or two becase Scholesy won't be around for too much longer..
