Last season we played all the top ten teams away from home during the first half of the season, leading to big complaints from our lot. Whilst of course this meant we had the easier teams in the second half of the season, we were still put at a disadvantage. Pyschologically the season could have been made a lot more difficult for us, if Liverpool and Chelsea had made the most of their easier fixtures before Christmas, and also, United play better in the second half of the season anyway.
City and Arsenal at home within the first two months, then Liverpool and Chelsea away in the next two. December and January sees fairly easy games, before the tougher fixtures come in March and April.
The fixtures have been published today and seem more even. They can’t be shown in full here, but you can see them on the official site.
What do you think of them?
