It was confirmed on Friday morning that Amad Diallo would be leaving Manchester United for Rangers for the remainder of the season.

I am delighted to join Rangers until the end of the season. It is fantastic for me at this stage of my career to have the opportunity to come to such a big club that is challenging on a number of fronts and will give me some excellent opportunities to test myself in many environments.

I look forward to training with my teammates for the first-time tomorrow and to meeting the fans for the first time at Ross County on Saturday.

Having barely touched the ball since signing for United, Amad scored for his first touch for Rangers during the SPL game this afternoon.

In just the fifth minute of the game, Amad snuck in at the back post for a tap in. Rangers went on to draw the game 3-3, thanks to a 96th minute equaliser from Ross County, but the fans in Scotland are already loving what they’re seeing from our teenager. Remarkably, they’ve already got a chant for him! “Diallo, aha. Running down the wing, aha. Hear the Rangers sing, aha. We’re gonna win the league, aha.”

After scoring the opener, it was Amad’s powerful shot which led to Rangers’ second goal after the keeper couldn’t keep a hold of it and Ryan Kent put in the rebound.

Rangers are currently five points ahead of Celtic in the table but their rivals are playing today.
