Sad to see him wasting a full year at real madrid. I dont what made him go there and waste a year of his career. Lovelykid but cant see him coming back

Stated this in post about Welbz. Both left looking for first team football but chose teams that left them in the exact same position as they had at United. I'm fond of both but they made mistakes in leaving. Little Pea would have been better off at Athletico than Real. At the time they needed a striker but signed Mandzukic and get Torres back. Anyway I want to see Wilson grow into the role as our top three strikers are all close to 30+ and up. He needs to step up and produce when the chance come for him to play more.

If I'm not wrong, Hernandez's contract is up this summer. So I think we have seen the last of him already. Lovely fellow, but just one level away from being a truly great striker.

Wish him well wherever he goes next

Waste of a year in Madrid. He has played a lot less than what he had been playing at United.
Not saying with LvG he'd have played more but he needed to go to a club where he would be first choice
and warming the bench in the Bernabeu won't have done him one bit of good.
13 appearances and we're in March and no injuries that I can recall.

Just read Hernandez figures he's hit rock bottom since moving to Madrid, not sure what he expected to happen, imo would be ok to come back always rated him as a option off the bench. He's got another year left in his contract so even if he doesn't stay Utd will get something for him.For a club just below the elite level he'd start every week

Right from day one, it was obvious he would be a backup to Benzema. If he thought otherwise, maybe he over estimated himself. It is not because Benzema is a much better striker, but he suits Real better, or rather, he suits Ronaldo better, with him being the grafter for which Ronaldo can feed off.

Definitely a poor decision

Not many clubs need a pure finisher these days, not in their starting eleven anyway. So good luck to him. The La Liga should suit him better, especially Atletico Madrid, since a certain Falcao who was a similiar type of striker thrived there. Surely Hernandez can top Torres?

And if it comes to it, I'll take Hernandez over the current Falcao

I don't think Hernandez at the time he left would have found it better at United. He was going to be behind Welbeck who was behind Falcao, Rooney and Van Persie. Not forgetting Wilson. Real Madrid are never the best option but I think it was at the time a better decision than staying. Unfortunately Benzema is not in the mood for injuries. I also think it was not his choice. More like a Di Maria thing. I hope he can get a move to Villarreal. They are perfect for him if he can improve on his touch and all round play
