So us and Arsenal are level on points. We are currently in a decent position. Hopefully from now on our away form will improve. Our neighbours have lost then, couldn't even score today, oh dear, oh dear, and Wayne wanted to join this 'ambitious' lot eh.

@dela and slim

Yeah, most of my comments were aimed at Andy Gray, I corrected myself afterwards.

WE WILL FOREVER BE IN THE SHADOW OF THE STOCKPORT MASSIVE :)

@RedGem, actually, their annual bottlejob usually takes place January and onwards but yeah, I agree that we shouldn't be too worried as they may well collapse again. Though Arsenal do have pretty much all their players back from injury now, and this is a major boost for them. Who knows they may give it a real go this season.

Hello Slim. Which comments arent you thrilled about? Just read the link "Sir Alex - I am in charge" and cannot really see what you mean. Do you mean about Nev and Scholes?

the attack was interesting, even fluid at times??? rofl??? our midfield was running out of ideas and kept back passing or square passing, giving away the ball in the midst. It's frustrating watching the team play even when we are winning, we barely scrape through with a decent win. The team cant string together 5 passes before giving away possession in the 2nd half. It was until Stoke score the equaliser that we step up a gear and wake up fcuking idea. Some of the midfielders really need to start performing or they should be shipped out in the summer.

surprised at Sir Alex comments today...usually doesn't single out a player for mistakes but did that with Scholesy..

Utd fought today against a dirty physical side and won, just need to sort out these silly passing mistakes that kept putting us under unnecessary pressure. Well done Chicharito some fantastic runs if he starts putting away all his chances He'll be seasons top scorer by Christmas, class player.

I saw an Ugly fat Troll hobble off to be replaced by a Donkey at wastelands lets hope he's out for 4 weeks, Whore.

I would love to get hold of a gif/video of VDS's throw that reached Berbatov, who crossed it over to the back post for Hernandez whose shot only was only just wide earlier today against Stoke. It was absolutely brilliant, if only it resulted in a goal. Fantastic attacking move.

And Fergie says there's no value in the market, I beg to differ. Who knows what that win might do for United, a real big 3 points and without a few players as well. I see some mentioned Berba had a great game, not in the first half, but he upped it in the second, with great control and delicate chip to the back post for Evra, who miss hit his shot, but thanks to the little pea, who was there to tap in. A scrappy win, but they all count, we really need to go on a run of wins and with Rooney still to come back, things are starting to look good.

Berbatov was great defensively today again, his headers to clear the ball during corners and set pieces are never really mentioned, but this whole season, he has helped out vida and the other backs.

As bad as O'Shea was today, gareth barry was even worse, and he cost 25M???

I noticed that too. Poor Scholesy had a rare off-day but I didn't expect the gaffer to single him out. Then again, at 35, after all that he's achieved, confidence shouldn't be much of an issue for the Ginger Ninja.

the chicharito chant (as per Livin La Vida Loca)

Onside, inside, out
He's livin la Chicharito

He'll sprint and wear you out
he's livin la Chicharito

His shirt is devil red
and his skins the colour mocha

He will put you down
livin la chicharito.

That was possible the best move in the entire game. There was another counter involving Berba, Nani and Hernandez which should have been a goal- it's a good sign that we are looking threatening on the counter for the first time in a while.

@united.george
Boateng and Barry seemed to be having a competition of sorts going along- for who'd screw up the most.

Meant to say wasn't thrilled about 3 years of scholes and Giggs. Sounds weird but i was hoping their replacements would be drafted in next season . These guys are top players but shouldn't be forced to rely on them if we're challenging for titles

Viva Chicharo, Viva Chicharo, VIVA CHICHARO
Give the lad the ball and he'll score a goal
Viva Chicharo...

Perfect for the tune of Viva Ronaldo and accurate for spanish speakers (mi wife is Latin American), "ito" is the affectionate dimunitive for "Chicharo" (which was his Dad's nickname). And Chicharo fits in nice with the syllables of Ron-al-do.

but, I hate Berba's haircut! :)

Are we ever going to get rid of the 3rd kit? can we at least get rid of the stripe on the top? just all black would be great!!

On another note, glad to see rooney using his financial acumen. He cancelled his 90K birthday party and opted instead to take a 10K vacation in Dubai.

Is Dubai the new destination for couples to go when they are trying to reconcile?

He is so much like M.Owen when Owen was in his prime.. Maybe even better.. His positioning.. His determination to get into the position.. Immaculate..

And that backward header.. wow.. Stoke players were shocked.. You see how Kenwyne Jones react to the goal.. "well, nobody would have predicted that.. " kind of reaction.

He is going to give Sir Alex a much more preferred dilemma than the newly-ended one.. haha..Chicharito links with Berba and Nani better than Rooney does.. Maybe Rooney will have to play left again after this..

what we did learn from today

- when brown ferdinand and vidic are in the back 4 they defiantly look more balanced at the back with the possibility of getting more yellow cards, downside that point may not have much of a point when the defence did let in a goal

- evra's improved attacking game the past phew years, has given fergie more options out wide especially on the left

- evra has almost become an extra CF, because he is right in the box when we need a goal badly

- rooney has a tough time to make the first 11, flipside of this is? if rooney returns to form united have strength in depth again upfront

- hernandes has proved come a year or maybe 2 years time he will be one of the best CF's in the business

- only downside, today showed we need a new CM badly

- strange how scholes give the ball away quiet a phew times

Hello mates...

His goals are alright (just kidding they're great!....who needs scouse bastards when he's in that kinda form) But what really pleases me i his attitude...always respectful and a great team player even though he is so young, he shows all the maturity you'd expect from a senior....

Fantastic talent....So much for lacking ambition....

Spot on, humility is something you are raised with and instilled in you from a young age and this kid has plenty of that.....Early signs are he really reminds me of the legend that is Ole

Evening, morning, or afternoon! Great name you have for him and if he ends up nearly as good a finisher as Ole was and equally as important preserving his humility and love for the club then we have a legend in the making.... I love also how he bows down and prays before kick off (Not a religious person my self but its nice to see)

@FITB

I know how strongly you feel about the glazer issue mate....I am not a big supporter of their business model myself if you've read my comments and articles here....But I will say this, our club is NOT SKINT....we're just having to .....how can I put it....RATION our resources lemme say....
When the time comes, we will spend, no doubt...but the moot point is that all that money will be United's internal generations anyway....I mean just look at our net spend every year....

People say that we bought Smalling and Henandez and Bebe, but despite that our net spend is very less if you look at the cash we made from player sales in the clubs accounts...

I would be delighted if we sign good players, but we need too many to be honest...Maybe a goal keeper, A good central midfielder to take over from Scholes, also a back up for Hargreaves if he cant make it....but I still feel there is enough talent in the club...Cleverly and Eikrem are two players I am really fond off and I also have high hopes for Pogba and Ravel Morrison and John Cofie...

I might get some stick for this but I dont think Gibson and Welbeck are United class....I would absolutely love it if they threw it back in my face and went on to be great players, but its just my opinion.
