We have to call him back surely? but if he does come back, I hope gets some games and not just sitting on the bench. Nicely taken goal lad.

Scott, Really appreciate these updates on our loan players. I don't follow the other teams as closely as I ought. So these posts give us the chance to have a bit of banter about our youngsters. As to Cleverly, bright lad, great prospect. I believe he had an injury scare last week. It was thought that he might have cracked a rib in a collision in their Everton game. It is superb that he is getting games under Martinez. Also note that Ryan Shawcross, a former United youth player that I liked alot, is also a mainstay with Stoke helped them beat Blackburn today.

Excellent natural as a finish as you can see, not least for a 21 year old.
I believe he has scored a ratio of 1 in three goals at the last two teams he has been loaned out to.
I still see in my minds eye the second goal he scored while the boys were on tour of the states.Pure class.
My cowlsthe best. You are are being sarcastic I know refering to various midfielders that United have been linked to during the Summer and since. We did not know then we would have Anderson in devastating form and providing that drive forward, did we?

Of topic anybody see that wee Argie cant score for Shitty tonight against Newcastle, jaysus that guy is such a plum, he scores and pulls out a Dummy tit, to suck.Just suck the life out of City Carlito.
Cant.

I cant decide if it would be best for the future to leave him there for the remainder of the season where he can continue to get prem experience under his belt, or whether, bearing in mind our fixture pile up that is looming the second half of the season, we should bring him back in Jan. With Park leaving for a month it might be useful to have Tom's energy and industry out wide as a compliment to the rampaging Nani on the other flank....

I would love to see this formation, either this year or next....

@Drew Vader

no berbatov huh? with all the stick u lot give berbatov when he plays rubbish, im going to give to rooney.. he was bollocks... apart from the passing for about 30-40mins at the start... but he cannot shoot to save his life and he actually couldnt pass to save his life in the second half after he changed his boots for some reason.. and this isnt the only game... shocking.. if we play 4-5-1 and we drop berbatov again for someone who hasnt scored a goal from open play i dont know whats going on..

P.S didnt see anderson on the bench when the match finished.. did he walk down the tunnel? was that a injury or a reaction to bein taken off? or is he stil recovering from that illness!! let us all know if anyone has any information because ANDERSON IS THE MAN!!!!!!

RedScot - Yes friend, we want that, yum yum. I suppose it depends on how close Valencia is to a comeback, before any decision is made on Cleverley.

@ Willie Hi mate, well not sexually. lol thats where United are weak just now. the flanks, I have always thought the Chelsea game cancellation was a blessing in disguise. To hit their backs , the weak areas.
Cleverly is gonna be a Star*. I cant see the point of destroying a youngster can you?
He scores on a regular basis given the chance in the Epl.
? Any one for a Danny Welbeck

Yeah that was weird. When he came off, it looked like there was some kind of miscommunication between him and Sir Alex. I hope it's not anything serious.

@ Willie we all want them out mate. its just sickening and makes me weep, genuinely.
I dont know bud, its all just media and playing on Uniteds mismatch with owners.
I will wait and read the prospectus of the "New Owners". it cant be much worse than our current ones.
I cant even think and read of how they have stolen from United this amount of cash. Its just despair.
Its not foriegn owners only, think Mike Ashley, I mean best intent.
I am a firm believer we need control of football , not the lame oneliner, owners with great intent and the fit for purpose.
I guess i live and dream. Nothing wrong with that.
A lad on Truly reds gave me a great link to the Swiss ramble. its about financial information. I get in a bigger sweat than a Sun reader digesting it. BUT digest I do.

Obertan -- It wasn't meant as a slight on Berba, just a point that when we go with a 1 up top its usually Wayne on his own, not Berba.

Drew Vader December 27, 2010
And to be honest I think you are being a little too hard on Wayne. He had an excellent assist and was very close to getting two more, both times he set up Anderson. In the second half his ball retention was frustrating I admit but he looked like he was playing in second gear and he was often out on the left wing covering for Macheda

@RedScot i am just tired of some people questioning SAF when he didnt buy all those players. He just knows what he is doing. If he does not want them, it means we are good without them. I am still feeling guilty over the whole Tevez saga, stupid "Sign him up" chant. If i meet Sir Alex now, the first thing i am going to say is thank you, and then i would apologize to him for that. Well i didnt sing that "sign him up", but i still feel embarrassed because my fellow fans did that while Sir Alex was speaking.

It is not wrong to wish, but it is wrong to question Sir Alex. Just learn from him.

My name comes from what Sir Alex said, i think you also know that. We put our reserve cows in another field, suddenly our cows become the best in those field. The same will happen to John O'Shea, who many of us believe is not worthy of a place in our team. Believe me, if we sell him, he will become the best defender for the other team.

Looking at our fixture list, I think it's essential to build a big lead going into the last 11 league games. Because those consist of a home game against Chelsea and trips to Anfield, the Emirates and the Bridge.

Drew Vader says:

agreed on Wayne. Scott raises the questions about Rooney's contribution after every game he plays. He is entitled to it though. Amazing pass to Berba, simply brilliant.
Hard to judge the second half but we changed down the gear after the second goal went in so job done and looking forward to Brum game.

Rene Adler has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave for Man Utd for 24 million euros. This clause is specifically inserted for Man Utd as he 'dreams' of playing for the club. His contract expires in 2010 so he should be much cheaper

It'll be nice if we can call Cleverly back in January. can we? I'm not too sure about that. But he can be a really good back up.

And funny, about all those negative comments about Carrick in previous posts. I actually thought he had a good game. One quality of his that's crucial for us, not taking into account if he does or doesn't make attacking passes or not, is that he keeps possession well (although ahem, when he gives it away it can spell trouble). Ah but Ando. It was a joy to watch that boy yesterday.

carrick had a quiet understated belter of a game. Overshadowed by Ando, hence people not giving him the credit he deserves

I don't think we should/are going to call Clev back. I think it will better for him to continue his development playing regular premiership football. I don't think he will be used a lot especially after Tony and Ji return.

AIG - Seen a bit of Adler, as I have espn, wouldn't be my choice and the buy out clause is still a tad steep. We don't always buy players, who support United, but I'd go for De Gea, as I believe the lad has huge potential.

@AIG:
Agree. Makes no sense making De Gea feel like Kusczack right from the beginning. My hunch is that SAF will give him some opportunities this season, might include one or two moderate pressure games, and see how he takes them. If he shines, I doubt we'll spend millions on another keeper.
