England U-21s took on France U-21s in their first Euro 2019 group stage game on Tuesday evening. Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, saved a penalty from Lyon’s Moussa Dembele in the first half.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden put England ahead before France drew level through Jonathan Ikoné in the 89th minute. Then disaster struck in the 95th minute when Aaron Wan-Bissaka was guilty of an awful own goal.

United have reportedly put in a bid of £35m + £15m add ons which was rejected by Crystal Palace earlier this week. They are holding out for £45m-£50m up front.
England are now third in their group and take on Romania, who are top after beating Croatia, on Friday, before playing Croatia next Monday. England’s chances of progressing are so slim now though, as only one second placed team will go through.
