Something tells me, we need the ginger prince at some stage. He might not have the legs for a 90 minute game anymore, but his quality on the ball is still second to none. And of course, he scores goals.....

If Bicuits gets out of line again, we will need Scholesy to put the bitch in his place.

The way things have been going on with our midfield, I don't think there's a perfect partner for Carrick tomorrow. But if this was 2009, I would have prefered Scholes instead of Giggs. I think Barcelona suit him more than Ryan.

Read on another website that during training, Fergie had the reserve side do a Barca simulation when they played against the first XI. Scholes was in the Xavi role, Nani was playing down the middle (ala Messi) and Owen was playing on the left, shades of Villa.

So I'd say that our team for tomorrow is ready! Of course, Guardiola could always switch things around like he did in Rome when he played Messi down the middle.

Rai - I know for a fact that Platini is the biological father of the whole Barca team!

Another thing I'm quite sure United have pin pointed. The Barcelona keeper, Valdes. He's very suspect for me. When we get a chance, fucking shoot!

Costas ... yeah, I read that too. It would seem to indicate that Nani, Scholes and Owen are not in the starting line-up, anyway. But I agree with willie ... I think we will need the ginger prince at some time, probably as a sub for Giggs (assuming Giggs will start). It's amazing, less than 24 hours before kick-off and I still have heard no consensus on our starting line-up.

Watching the Rome highlights there .we didn't play the best that night. Rooney out of position, a greedy CR7 .
Tomorrow will be different Toni V,Park, our back line and Rooney in behind Hernandez it will be 4 at Wembley
Come on UNITED!.

I think the use of our subs tomorrow will be vital. I.e, keep possession we need Scholes, to protect a lead probably Fletcher on for Giggs or Hernandez......the subs will have a big part to play tomorrow especially if we press Barcelona from early on. Wouldn't surprise me if it goes to extra time

@willie

It was a Greek one, it doesn't count. :P

@Stateside

Hey mate. It's a good idea by Sir Alex. It will get them prepared for tomorrow. As someone said earlier, it's a shame for Nani. But I wouldn't bench Valencia tomorrow. The only way I can see both of them starting is if Fergie goes with 4-5-1.

Used to say before we even got to the Q/final stage of the UCL, that the day uefealona lose in the competition it could be big one. SAF said today it could be a high scoring match, a classic and the RED in me agrees. Could United be the team to smash through the perception of this team. I bloody hope so. For me they're almost as bad as they are good. They simply haven't been a position of trepidation in a long time, maybe too strong a word trepidation but they certainly haven't had to worry about our kind of players bearing down on their back line. I think Lineker missed it, if United show up we win, simple

Some RUMOURS out of camp tonight suggest Fletcher starts, Hernandez on bench,alongside Owen but Berba,Scholes,Evans miss out, thus Bench is Tomaz,Smalling,Rafa,Nani,Anderson,Owen and Hernandez. IT IS NOT CONFIRMED , JUST SAW IT ON TWITTER VIA STEVE BATES AND PHIL MCNULTY...

I hope not.. I want Chicharito to start... Fergie did hint that he is going to start.
Might have been a smokescreen.. who knows..

@T4M, Nick Coppack the Guy who writes news articles on manutd.com a few minutes ago said Sir Alex ONLY hinted NOT categorically stating that Hernandez starts, remember Sir Alex talking up Valencia before Chelsea 2nd leg only to start Him on the bench. As I said ONLY LATE NIGHT RUMOURS, NOTHING CONFIRMED...
