Diego Forlan scored the goal last night which knocked Liverpool out of the Europa League. His side will now face Fulham in the final and confirming that there will be no silver lining to Liverpool’s season. After scoring against them in the first leg, the last person the scousers wanted to see on the score sheet last night was Forlan.
From our perspective, we really could have done with this killer blow being inflicted before they had to play injury time. Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Glen Johnson, Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel were amongst the Liverpool players on the pitch for the full 120 minutes, whilst Yossi Benayoun and Javier Mascherano played for 110 minutes. Not exactly ideal preparation three days before playing Chelsea, but come on you scouse bastards!
