Zaha, Sir Alex's last act of genius.

Zaha looking the part. Long way to go for the lad, but has skill to burn and will only improve.

Kagawa's pen miss was disappointing, like we don't have enough to worry about in that department.
Lingard should have scored as well.

Super hot and humid conditions, best to hope for is no injuries.
Glad RvP got some minutes to shut the fitness ITKs up.

Back to the USA next year? At least we can beat teams over there ;)

Come on the Reds!

Pretty good game in attacking sense but defense was lacking and we do look lost in midfield without Carrick.. Great to see zaha opening his account in moyes' time :P overall another good workout for the lads..

Zaha will be some player. All those tricks and skills, close control can't be taught, all he'll want to keep improving is his end product at crucial moments in games and composurr but it will hopefully come, lad is powerful and hardworking, he will be an handful for any defence.

Kagawa will step up this season. He's had his adaptation time, he's settled now and understands his team mates. Has abundance of skill and technique, vision and craft.. Needs to do more polishing on his finishing but he'll always be a threat to defenders. He could be stationed to the left yet he isn't a static footballer, his best play has always been to move everywhere and combine. Goals and assists, kagawa brings it and here's hoping he'll be a PL star this season.

I hope we finally pull out of this Cesc deal. I never wanted him anyway. Not sure who we're gonna get now - perhaps test Spurs mettle for Bale officially? or an actual offer for Ronaldo? Who knows? Probably end up with Yohann Kebab after all this. :(

Just looking over some of the footie news the past week. Seriously, what is Arsene Wenger thinking pursuing Suarez??? Rodgers claiming that £40 million doesn't match his value? I swear, you have to give it to scousers, they do know how to rip people off. Firstly, £50 million for a shadow of Fernando Torres, now they want the same for a player who will be banned immediately for several games, who has been banned for racist language and assaulted two players in two leagues with his fucking mouth? Wenger... you CAN'T be that desperate? Why doesn't he try to sign someone like Michu? I know he signed a new contract with Swansea not too long ago but that never stops anyone.. Suarez only signed improved terms around a year ago too.

John W Henry was correct when he asked what are they smoking at the Emirates... only he got the reason for the question WRONG, they shouldn't be trying to relieve Liverpool of that baggage anyway. Nice of him to interfere in Rodgers business though, very Abramovich-like of him. Esp. the part where if Rodgers doesn't hit top 4 this season he'll be thrown in the trash right away I'm thinking.

@ Dela, ill tell u what arse wenger is thinking. Liverpool will be challenging for top 4 next season. This means one of either United, shitty, Chelsea or arsenal have
To budge over and fall out of top 4.

Now, Liverpool have come to realize just how truly fucked they are as they really
Chose the wrong moment to become such s mediocre club. United will be Going for title, shitty have spent their way into top 4 a d Chelsea is the same esp with mourinho.

This in conclusion, Le arse has correctly Undetstood that his team are most
Vulnerable to get cut from the 4th spot. Contrary to wat wilshere ha been wanking about, arsenal won't challenge for shit other than maintaining 4th place as seen by their reaction last season celebrating like mugs. So they want Suarez so they can directly weaken a 4 th place rival and fuck over spurs by getting RM to bid for bale

@Sushi

Tactical signings? I'm not sure I buy it. I believe that City did it in 2009 (Adebayor and Toure from Arsenal, Tevez from United, tried to get Terry from Chelsea and at a stretch I suppose buying Lescott could be seen as an attempt to weaken Everton) but I just don't think Wenger would go for that. I just can't understand why he wants an openly racist player in his dressing room. Another theory I read is that he's trying to get Madrid to bid for Suarez so that Arsenal can get Higuain. That seems like a better fit to me.

adnan pass for zaha goal was pure class, great vision and execution while under pressure. definitely has an eye for a pass. Moyes never seems to shy away from playing youth either so hopefully we see plenty of him for the season.

"Guess" is it? Martino doesn't know jack!

Forget Bale, we have Zaha
Forget Cesc, we have Adnan!

Sorted

Bit dilluded? But sorted just the same!

Feel confident we will strengthen in MF, CB and possibly LB. Don't know when, but it will happen. Not bothered if we don't bring in Cesc. But he would do nicely there is not doubting that. Time will tell.

@ truth, wenger is desperate for Suarez. This move is all about him trying to seal 4th plae by weakening Liverpool and Tottenham. He knows his team is shit and won't compete for the title. Why else
Buy a player who is unavailable for 15-30% of a season?

Alternatively it is possible he is just trying to make a high enough bid to pretend like he can compete for top talent so the gooners will keep singing songs about him.

Apparebtly Marco Verratti has handed in a transfer request at PSG. Stunning. If this is true, then the Lord has just handed us the PERFECT opportunity to rectify our midfield problems. What the fuck are we waiting for? GET VERRATTI IMMEDIATELY.

Zaha looks very good so far and i'd have him in our first 11 for the start of the season so far and i'd even put lingaard along side RVP up front as he looks like a real menace in front of goal. Januzaj looks a very competent player but i'd say for the premier league we might want to loan him out to another lower end PL team for him to gain some experience of the physical side of the game. either that or get him to bulk up slightly but just a little.

irishred75 @ 14:40: "adnan pass for zaha goal was pure class, great vision and execution while under pressure. definitely has an eye for a pass."

Take another look - Adnan passed the ball to Anderson, who then squared it to Zaha for the tap-in.

BUT, that quibble aside, Adnan showed poise and vision and touch. It looks like he's going to be a really, really special player, and SOON, too.

I know that most of you guys seem to believe that Anderson is "fat"; he's not, he's stocky - built thick like TheGingerNinja, as opposed to have a whippet's body like, say, Ryan Giggs. Anderson has so much natural talent/skill that his inconsistency - and injuries and "Brazilian life-style" - must drive the coaches barmy.

If - and it's a huge question after five/six seasons of inconsistency - he can get his mojo working then he'd be like the proverbial "new signing"; maybe even better because he won't need time to get into sync with team-mates and the club. If the new manager can make that happen then he would truly be TheMoyessiah.

Did'nt watch the match but thanks Scott for posting the goals.Anyone with a link to the highlights?Just seen Rio tweet he's lost 4kg.Must have been horrible conditions in Japan. Now lets all put to bed the Bale rumours. He's been offered to the virus for 103 million.Hope this works out, might be a blessing in disguise as it potentially weakens spurs who look to be building on from last season and will be a threat and we can also get Modric or Ronnie.
Also lets kiss Fabregas goodbye,Barca are BITTER CUNTS and will not let him leave for the theatre of dreams.

Veratti is a class player.. In the mould of scholesy, not such a great tackler but brilliant passer of the ball.. Ando has drive and Vision too but his passes are cut out a lot of times leaving us vulnerable to counter attacks..

Couldn't agree more with your comments on Bale and Fabregas. Pie in the sky comes to mind.

Some people are mentioning Fellaini and Cabaye but I have a strong feeling Moyes will surprise a few people and sign... nobody at all! To be honest I'd rather sign nobody than sign Cabaye.

You are right, most United fans are getting disillusioned by the day.Its a frustrating period having lost Sir Alex to the board and players snubbing us.I believe that there is more than meets the eye here and peopleen the reailty and the spin.Names being tossed around to get us fans in a frenzy to mask the underlying issues.I might be wrong and hope I am but I cant see us signing anyone else.My pal who works in Rio's restaurant told me that word is we are just bluffing around and are done in the transfe market.Only good thing is wazza will stay and boy he always gets first hand information.

If there is any intention of using the young players. David moyes will have to ruffle a few feathers.
Signings at this point look bleak. We can get the excitement level up with a standard midfield signing and integrating of youth. Thats exactly what klopp did a few years ago. Who had heard of kagawa, goetze was just an upcoming talent, gundogan and co much the same.
DM just has to steel up his cajones , bite the bullet and get cracking with full conviction.
I reckon a successful season in europe and at home will make signings easier as hed have built up some much needed reputation

Pal Ghai July 26, 2013
The last thing we need is sowing seeds of discord in the dressing room.Rooney is too full of himself and will not be content with a place in the bench for any of the youngsters regardless of his performance.Only player we can replace without any fuss is maybe welbeck for lingard, other youngsters will have to bide their time im afraid.Failure to this we could find ourselves in apposition where we are robbing peter to pay paul.Selling our seasoned pro's to give youngsters a chance which is all good but not when we want a transformation of managerial change to be as seamless as possible.

slim July 26, 2013
The only people who can tell if roo will be a bother in the dressing room will be the player himself and the manager.
Have no problem selling him to a club like say Arsenal. Chelsea on the other hand not so much. But if he has his mind set then I see no reason to keep him. The valuation so far has been poor though. 20million? What a joke.

Personally I'd rather watch us toil in League Two than pay Wayne Rooney another penny. Let him stink up Chelsea's locker room - as long as they give us at least 40 mill for him that is. If they refuse to pay a reasonable price I would keep him here and let him rot. Let's see if Chelsea still want him 12 months from now after he's been sitting on his fat arse at home for 12 months boozing, smoking and shoveling burgers down his ungrateful gob.

that goal from Osaka is one of the issue I hope the team will sort out this season, we don't close opposition down well enough, need to make it more difficult to get a shot or find a pass around the 18 yard box, whole point of pre season, to watch things and try rectify them. regarding cesc, I'm not sure I am looking forward to yet another saga that ultimately will lead to no where.

Of course, I'm no Ed Woodward. I'm sure United will come to the solution that's easiest on Glazer wallets. My gut tells me United and Chelsea will continue to play hardball until deadline day, when Jose will run crying to Abramovich and demand that Rooney is signed at any cost, possibly even threatening to resign if they don't get him.
