Seen him play loads for the reserves last season. He looks dangerous on the right wing cutting in onto his left foot.

The lad just needs more time to settle.

I thought he looked average for most of the game against a very poor Belarus team, I hate to say it but he's looking like a waste of money so far.

One nutmeg and now he is gods gift to football. I just don't see it in this kid, I hope llajic is worth the price we paid for Him and tosic.

Matt@ 12:58 - I was going to write exactly the opposite after watching the second half of that game. Tosic was the best player in the Serbian team; and Serbia - lest you forget - are always a EuroPowerhouse team so it's not as if he's playing with incompetents on their national team for whom he has more than a dozen caps. I don't question his skill, speed, shooting, or desire - but he's very small and not powerfully built so his size is a concern. Whether he can be a top-notch EPL player is an open question but the ability is there.

Just give both of them time to shine beside they still young and they will play beautifully someday.. We'll see.. Tosic is like the next giggs and what llajic would be?

On the contrary.....I think we have had enough experience to bring the kids on just like we did to the likes of Becks,Giggs,Scholes and Nevilles.

Nani..let him have a make or break this season

Tosic, Macheda & Wellbeck..integrate them gradually with the experience of Rooney,Berbatov & perhaps an experience striker in place of Tevez.
Frazier Campbell..his doing well with England U-21.Would rate him better than Manucho

Ribery..we could have got him before Bayern did.Exeptional player but will not have a sell on value.

English clubs need British mentallity type of players to blend with the Continental & Latin American flair.

Man U vs Bayern final...Classic
L'pool vs Milan final...another good example though I was gutted when the pools won it...

@zeddy...probably true but Ronaldo would not have developed into the same player with Ribery in the side.

As for Tosic he will be a good squad player but I wouldn't expect too much from him...I can see it now..."give me Ljajic for 13 million...in fact why not throw in that other wee lad for 16 and lets call it a deal!"....

Llajic is the real prize in that deal...the boy is special and will be a hit at United

FFS... muppetry at its very finest.

the lad's played what, 30 minutes of first team football?
people already writing him off as a "good squad player", ffs.
give him more time. we gave ronaldo over 3 years to come good.

Looks like the training to built him up is working, he constantly held off defenders in that game despite being much smaller in frame than them. If there was one thing all our lads should learn from Ronaldo, its how to built a tank of a body

To be honest Tosic looked at a similar level to Lee Martin in the reserves.. Why is Lee Martin not considered to be any kind of prospect? I have always been impressed with him in the reserves.

The lad looks a great prospect. The weight building programme has certainly worked as he looks a lot stronger. He also covers the most ground in the Serbia team, at least he did against Italy. Why the fuck are people writing him off already? If it is Ronaldo you would rather see fuck off and support Madrid.

Adem Ljijac looks absolute quality and at 6 foot tall will develop into a strong lad. Cannot wait for January. He will be training with the first team up till then.

Everyone knows we only bought him because of Laljac or whatever his name is. I haven't seen him play but apparently he is the nuts. I've not been overly impressed by Tosic. Sure he will improve, but he's never going to be a first team regular at United.

If he continues to work hard, build up his strength and maintain the right attitude I'd suggest he'll have a decent career at United as a squad player. You can't rule anything out in terms of his improvement if he maintains the right attitude, but he hasn't got the ability to become a world class player. Anyone thinking he has is deluded. I'd put Welbeck into that too, I'm not convinced by him, he looks like Bambi on ice most of the time.

We do need these squad players though, they are important. Park springs to mind. Squad player, not the best player on the ball, but the right attitude and a hard work has made him one of my favourite, and a very important player for Utd.

To be honest, with Tevez leaving, we HAVE to sign Benzema. Even if it cost £40m. He has the chance to be world class. I remember going to Lyon vs Utd a few years ago at Lyon and he's the only player I've seen give Vidic and Ferdinand a good run around on his own like Torres did last year. Let's be honest, if he is going to be anywhere near as good as Torres, we really need him in our team.

How is that impressive? I can go down to Whalley Range and pick out 6 skinny 13 year olds who can do that with their eyes closed.

How about a goal or an assist instead?
