Absolutely top class goals against a packed villa defense. Macheda! Rather have him and Obertan on, at least they have an eye for goal. Carrick should be told to never ever shoot again from that display...HA ha ha, just sad. But after Macheda's superb strike, Vida's goal a true captains goal. Villa were completely pissing themselves for the last 10 minutes. Too bad we couldn't nick it in the end. Common United.

Sick of seeing Park getting muscled off the ball.

Sick of seeing sloppy passing in good positions.

Good goal by Macheda, clever header by Vidic.

Wont win the league playing like that.

We need to sort out our midfield - they have to be able to take hold of games and give the strikers those telling passes that give them at least the chance to score.
Nani - good cross for Vida's goal - but rest of time - waste of time
Carrick - passing third rate
Fletcher - doing his thing and putting his face where it hurts
JSP - nowhere in this match but saved us against Wolves so let him off
Wes - bad positioning for the pen but I still like him but it shows that Rafael now gives us more
Patrice - lost Albrightson countless times and easily out witted - since the World Cup his mind seems elsewhere and I'm not going to knock him as he has been fabulous since he arrived - maybe a few weeks off????
Got out of jail but it's an away point. Roll on three points next weekend

Nani's delivery for Vida's goal was world class. That's what he's all about, not his fucking irritating petulance. It's those sort of qualities that made me love the guy in the first place and why I was absolutely overjoyed when we signed him. His childish act when laying on the ground could have cost us a goal. Then his swipe almost got him a red card. He needs to sort himself out - shades of Ronaldo in his final season. Less of that and more of his delicious deliveries. He is key for us this season. I for one would love to see him become a massive success this season.

midfield is our biggest problem at present, they dont seem capable of playing a passing game.
I hope to god that fergie has got someone to come in jan,
this has to be one of uniteds poorest midfield in years, they do not fill me with hope.
I am so pissed off with that show today........................to think I could of gone shopping ( now thats not on )

We need Fletcher back to his best. He is the weak link right now. And I feel bad singling him out, because he's not playing particular badly, but he's nowhere near his best. When Fletcher is good he's like some sort of midfield warrior, he breaks up attacks, he wins the ball, he keeps the ball, he shrugs off challenges that would kill a lesser player and he gives the rest of the team time and space while protecting the back line. Right now he's anonymous, not bad enough to stand out for it, not really good enough to get noticed. He can do so much better. And when he does do better it will make things better not only for him, but for the whole team.

FletchTHEMAN - Packed Villa defense? They were playing with a load of kids and for most of the game, out played us. Give the opposition credit some times, they didn't park the bus, like the fucking berties.

Haha. I bet that's what Mancini will say. By the way, he has exactly the same points as Hughes had last year after 13 games. Tick tock...

dont forget kiko cost us one of the goals so dont praise him too highly, goal or not without his giveaway that led to a villa goal we would have been in much better shape. but he has the fine makings of a star

Right now the most frustrating thing about the way we're playing is that we don't look like Man Utd. If we were getting beat playing the football United have become famous for with the flying wingers putting balls into the box ala Giggs and Kanchelskis then I could stomach it. But right now we're a poor man's Arsenal.

Our so-called wide players get the ball and seem to dribble it inside, into the most congested areas of the pitch and then look surprised when they get crowded out! Worse when they haven't got the ball they dont hug the touchline and give our centre midfielders the option for the outball. Instead they come inside into the area between the centre back and full back allowing themselves to be doubled up easily between defence and midfield. As a result the ball gets stuck in centre midfield til our full backs push up but by then its too late the other team are all set up to defend.

We're making it easy for other teams to defend against us, we're trying to play in these neat little triangles that are so narrow that we aren't stretching defences and making spaces for runs in behind or getting into positions to cross the ball.

Why did it take Nani til 84 minutes to work out that going outside and putting the ball into the box was the smart thing to do? The second he worked that out we scored! United are becoming increasingly annoying to watch cos they're not playing like United. Get it wide early, get around the back of the defence and get it into the box. Simple formula. Why on earth have we abandoned it?!

@Willierednut. Cheers mate. I was just talking about the last 10 minutes. We were completely outplayed until Machada's strike. But somehow, the team got some spine and I felt that villa were lucky to get a draw in the end. Granted, could have been 4nil before we got into gear. I just prefer to look at the positives. Cracking goal from Kiko!

United......
The footballing version of the Grand Canyon (could we get a sponsor there).....
A solid defence and a reasonable attack, linked by a gaping hole, occasionally filled by an aging icon. Yes, simplistic but basically true.
The defence under pressure because of this chasm. The attack unsupported. But feck, why repeat this whats new, we all know this! Even the tea ladies pet poodle knows this.

So what am I bleating about....?
What I want is the 'hard' Fergie back. I want the 'Mr Hyde' Fergie, not the 'Dr.Jeckyl' Fergie.
Cut the dead wood, sort out disruptive influences and buy (with money from sales if necessary).
If you are going to rely on developing players, they need to 'sink or swim'.
Get the serum out.....I want the Mr Hyde Fergie!

But lets look on the bright side. It is possible to come second in the league with 19 draws, if you win the other 19. (that's sarcasm).

Yeah it's frustating that no one in the team can take a good corner. We just keep hitting the first man.

Shit performance. Lucky to get a point.

Hopefully Chelshits will drop some point today.

I know we haven't reached even half way of the season but none of our performance fills me with confidence. Thought we'll get better as the season progress but we have gone back a bit from the start of the season.

We need one big performance to get the confidence back.. A 5-0 or a 6-0.

BTW well played Villa yesterday.

@The Real AB

I don't know if no one can take a corner, cos Nani always takes them, and he needs to put them in better.
I really can't see the london teams losing points today. It's too good to be true actually, we can't be getting out of jail every time.

I have to agree with Sir Alex in his post-match comments. We actually should be delighted with getting a draw after being two nil down and only ten minutes to go. But then again, it's the fact that we've had 7 draws out of 13 games played, that's what causing all the furore. Otherwise, i think most of us would actually have been happy with our comeback, which was like from nowhere tbh.

When we seem we're going up, we get a draw and stay stagnant. Come on fellas, let's get tough and down to business.

I'm sick and tired of this negativity...

Yeah, we had a bad game....it was one of those days, yes!....but give credit to our boys. We woke up and fought back....and we almost wont it a the the end.

Shit, Villa were INSPIRED on big parts of the game....so give them credit too. They play some good football.

Anyways, this might not be our year....and if thats the case, so be it....but our boys are trying out there....so stop bitching, and instead admire their spirit....THEY NEVER GAVE UP....We turned back a game that we should have lost...and turned it back in style and playing some good football...
