In injury-time of Serbia’s opening World Cup game against Costa Rica, Manchester United’s Nemanja Matic lost his cool with the opposition bench. When trying to retrieve the ball in injury time for a throw-in, the opposition coaching staff kept a hold of it, leading to a bit of handbags.

Aleksandar Kolarov scored the only goal of the game, earning Serbia a 1-0 with, with an excellent freekick.

Matic put in a great performance for his country. Only two players completed more passes than him and he had a greater passing accuracy than any, with 94%. He won back the ball 11 times, more than any player on the pitch.

Reported United target, Sergej Milinković-Savić, also had a great game.
