and another obvious answer, the players always have the kind of attitude like - weaker clubs are easier to be beaten. this happen to us when we face derby country and we lost to them in the carling cup i think. we almost lost to wolves too at the first half of the season. we coudlnt even score a lot of goals when we face 10 men wigan, because we thought they are weak and the game will be easy.

we need to live up the spirit. i think, sometimes, we've lost the spirit of the player like Roy Keane who always give they're 100% on the pitch.

Jeet, no offence intended, but you should consider re-reading your posts before submitting them.
Your post at 8:19 refers. You say "if I have to blame someone for the defeat, it has to be Fergie." You go on to say "Why start Evans at all? Why not Smalling? Why not Brown? Why Fletch and no Ando in the starting XI?" As you don't know the answers to these questions, and do not attempt to answer them, you sound puerile and bitter.

If you are going to "blame Fergie" you need to show why he is to blame.

I will attempt to answer your questions.

- "Why start Evans at all?Why not Smalling?" -Rio was injured, Evans was warmed-up. Sir Alex prefers Smalling with Vidic, but had no choice , other than to risk injuring him as well.

-"Why not Brown?" -We have all been wondering what has led to Wes' lack of game time. To judge Sir Alex on events we do not know or understand is unforgivable. It's ok to wonder why, but not to judge. Be absolutely clear on this. Sir Alex is loved, cherished and respected by us all(including you) so lets not castigate him without reason.

"Why Fletch and no Ando in the starting 11?" We played with 2 attacking FBs and 2 wingers, so we needed Fletch and Carrick. If Fletch hadn't started, Scholes would have. Believe it or not Paul brings more defensively than Ando.

You also say " Subs all wrong in my opinion – Ando subbing Fletch and Chicha subbing Rooney would have given them something to think of." Why? Are you saying we should have taken Carrick and Fletch off, and played with only Paul as a semi DM, or are you saying Paul shouldn't have come on? Scholes was our best player in the 2nd half.

The point, Jeet, is not that you have to be right. The point is that if you blame Sir Alex without backing your accusation, you will be considered ABU, which I know you are not. You love Sir Alex, all United fans do. I will protect him from empty accusations, whereas healthy debate and considered opinions elicit my interest.

Expecting that we can converse amicably, yours redly, me.

musca you post at 7:34 is considered and reasoned. I don't agree, but that's ok.

Your post "nani is a shite" at 17:22 yesterday is disgusting and deserves a smack in the face with a wet fish.

Try to speak clearly and accurately, using logic to post. Blindly swearing at our players is disrespectful and disrespected.

with all due respect sir, im not disrespecting him. i dont if i ever left out saying this, but ill say it again: I LOVE NANI. but only nani that i knew last season. he flicks there, pass here, and rooney, dumm goal. but for this season, he's been quite poor. He chase the ball, he still do that, he's scoring goal, he's still do that, he's good in passing, hes good in crossing, i can see that, but i didnt see him using his vision that well.

he scored goals, 1 out of every 8 shots i can say, where on another 7 shots, he can pass it to rooney or berbatov in front him to help the team score more.

he needs to improve on his vision, his decision making, and he'll be the warrior to united. just like cantona. just like ronaldo.

Smartalex: Yeah, man - I agree with your ciriticism - partly.
1. I find it difficult to believe that Smalling couldnt be warmed up quick enough.
2. No one knows what's wrong with Wes - it's all conjecture, so one's guess could well be "nothing's really wrong. The gaffer thinks he is not as good as JOS/Evans, et al". I may not think that to be the right assessment.
3. I meant Ando and Carrick as CM either to start with, or as subs.
I hope its abundantly clear that not for one moment would I suggest that I know better than the gaffer; neither does anyone else on RoM. What we offer is a fan's perspective, a 20/20 hindsight that we spout on online forums, and sad, pathetic middle-class armchair punditry (I'm talking of myself here). I'm surprised I sounded bitter - maybe loss in communication, and I'll take your pt. there. Actually, I think I took the loss quite well, compared to how I took the WBA draw...LOL
Just a wee note to you and all RoMers, particularly old-timers and die hards:
Sometimes I do get a bit sick of the "you're a ABU cunt" brigade. I don't think I wrote anything in that post for me to be labelled an ABU. Those who make comments like "I hope Berba breaks a leg" or "SAF is a purple-nosed old fart" deserve all the abuse they get, but I do get the feeling of this place turning into a chest-beating old-boys club everytime someone says something either mildly cautionary about Utd., or critical about SAF or one of the players, or mildly appreciative about some other team.I could probably give some examples, a lot I cant recall, but sometimes a little bit of difference of opinion, if it's not abusive, needs to be tolerated instead of being shot down.
Personally, I always try and call it as objectively as I can. I openly admit that I dont like O'Shea (and I dont like Brown either), but I acknowledge what they bring. You won't find a post of mine saying "I hope Berba leaves", but if he had a bad game, I'll call it without being abusive. Against Blackpool, I said SAF got his starting XI wrong, but quickly acknowledged that he corrected it at half time.
Cheers, mate - I know you know that I meant no disrespect, and I hope you know that I know that you know I didnt mean disrespect...all UNITED!

Jeet - Old boys club? It can be like that sometimes. The flip side of that, is fans thinking they know more than the manager, is rather annoying to some on here. I don't mind fans saying, why didn't the manager play this guy, or that guy? It's the personal abuse, that the manager and players receive on here, that pisses me and others off, so much.

Willie - totally agree. The personal abuse is completely out of line. Apart from that what I dont like:
1. I've been supporting United/attending 30 matches every season for the last 20 years, so I'm a bigger fan than you. This is sooo frustrating for someone like me who is not in the UK, and who is not old as Adam.
2. X reacts to a bad loss saying "Our team was fucking awful, we were piss poor and I am very angry". Understandable emotional outburst, if it doesnt cross the line of personal abuse. Unfortunately, X will have a whole bunch of ppl jumping on him and questioning, "Are you sure you are not a blue/dipper?". This one is seriously insulting.
3. Y says, we have got a tough fixture list ahead, we got City, Chelsea, Barca and Bayern in the next 6 weeks, and it would be good to draw a one and win the others. Again a ton of ppl jump on Y and berate him for not believeing in the squad, Fergie, God and other assorted prophets. Also accuses him of being a Barca fan, and concludes by saying that we will steam roll all our opponents, or they will burrow a hole in the center circle and hide the moment they see Darron Gibson. This one's just so full of Texas (no offence to Texans) bravado, it almost stinks of George Bush.
Enough said, I guess it takes all sorts to make a world...just wish for a little more plurarlity - is that the word I am looking for?

i respect the club. i adore the club. im not here saying big on this player, or saying shite out of that player. to me, the club is all that matters. its our pride there. we cheers when our team wins, we're upset when our team lost/didnt play well/.or some players does not function the way it should be, but deep in our heart, we accept that lost with head up still, we never turned our back down for this team, till our bone collapses.

but like always, in every good trees and good leaves, there's always caterpillars scattering around. but i believe, with some improvement, vision and changes, after tough words from the fans who dont really enjoy the way the caterpillars move around, he can always take it postivly and improve. and only with improvement, the caterpillars will grow to a beautiful butterfly.

and im pretty sure that butterfly will rose itself to be the warriors for the trees and the leaves, just like our greats Best, great Cantona, great Robson, great Solskjaer.

cheers :)
