@fergie is the boss...

Yes but Anderson always goes for the throat of the defenders..... how many times yesterday was the ball punted up to the likes of Rooney and Berbatov and it just kept coming back.... Maybe you can blame the defense over it, but it shows the lack in confidence they have over that midfield.
I can't wait for tony to come back..... even when were having a torrid game he's always likely to deliver a good ball and create some danger...
I honestly believed if we get feeding the ball to Nani yesterday we would have gotten something out of the game.... ya sometimes he came in and fired way over the bar...but at least he kept trying..... that's the one thing that is very similar between Ronaldo and Nani.... they never get discouraged...they'll keep trying and trying and trying.... Some people get annoyed by it, but I honestly don't mind it because he's always likely to get it right at some point.... that's why so many people are getting on Carricks case because he's not willing to try a 50 yard pass as much as he used to.

To sum up we were awful all over the pitch yesterday.... but we didn't have anyone in the shape of Roy Keane or Bryan Robson to take the game by the scruff of the neck

The first period was more finely balanced, both teams were on the offensive. Second period is favouring Inter, but if Roma do manage to tie then it will go to sudden death.

The whole team didn't wear black armbands at all. Just watched the hgame and ronaldo was the only one. Makes you wonder if it was for munich. If so then that is class.

If Ronaldo did wear a black armband and it was for Munich then kudos to him, Viva Ronaldo.

The Real Madrid team wore black armbands for Antonio Mezquita. Nothing to do with Munich. Ronaldo wasn't the only one either. Kaka and Garay were wearing them too. Don't know if anyone else was.

There's a lot of conjecture on the net about Ronaldo's armband, a lot of claims, but
no confirmation yet.

C.Hughesmufc - the way he treated the club in the summer of 2008 he is an asshole. He could have easily have stayed another year, ley low and help us make history not go into a season very lazy and half hearted because he had a tantrum because he could not leave

I expect all have read Sir Alex on the defeat.
"We are disappointed, particularly after going in front so early in the game," Sir Alex told MUTV. "The result was caused by bad play at set-pieces. That is the nuts and bolts of it and we don’t dispute that
"Normally I think we would have put Chris Smalling in that position because he has been playing right side and Jonny has been playing left side, (but) Jonny had already done the warm-up. It was important because of the experience that Rio has in games like that."

The responsibility lay with Vidic and van der Sar to show leadership at the set piece plays, and they know it. Perhaps we would have been better served with a tall right back (Brown or O'Shea) Of course that would have blunted our attack, but if we hadn't conceded that would be moot.

At a club like Real it goes something like this... 'Ok lads, today we are remembering one of our greats who passed away recently, if you give a rats ass you may chose to wear a black arm band, if not fine'

Cedars. Hello mate. Well it appears so. Only three had them on. I personally only noticed ronaldos. Just watching match of day and laughing at the tranny and rentboys. Chelsea fans even showing a blatant rip off the dippers banner of “el nino. 9“. Classless cunts. Anyway its not a striker they need they have no width but their defence is a fucking shambles. CLLC is being shown up for the shit over rated twat he is. He was turned insdie out all game long by kuyt of all people. Rooney and berba can tear them apart. Well at least it puts a stop to talksports tag of chelsea pre game of the “dream team“. Laughable. They are such a lowlife radio station that get people like me foaming at the mouth to get traffic in. Now being done for calling the fsw a “nonce“. Unbelievable. Sorry to go off on a tangent again but what the fuck is dion dublin on about on motd? Just said it was a great chance for the rentboys to win today and get back to within THREE points of united. Err I think you'll find it would have been seven. It is however still ten.

Rant away mate... Also i could have sworn the match was being played at Anfield, especially throughout the second half. All I could hear was Pool fans singing...

Chelsea? Pathetic excuse for a football club, just like the bitters I suppose

Well I'm still weeping over the memory of "the Babes".

Just angry at this result.

This loss has been coming for a while and thank Christ I did not see it.

From friends who did, would seem we have problems at replacing quality centre backs with not so quality centre backs. This has been an issue for two years. Apparently we were utter shit at defending agaisnt balls being slung in! And for not the first time this year!!

What is also an issue is that we did not even present any sort of thtreat in coming back agaisnt a piss poor team - previous years and we would have done GBH on this lot, even at two down.

The ability of any team starts with the spine down the middle - and starts with a keeper and his two centre backs. We have trouble there and have all year, unless Vidic & Rio play.

If we spend we need those 3 positions covered - all else is ok but if you are dodgy at the back you are opening up for a thumping.

I just hope we have something in plan - if not we may be in trouble.

On a happier note none of the threats won.

UNITED 194 - 2011 (Hoping & now praying)

hi guys

i agree with KingOfStretfordEnd.. right now, we need to cure our away miseries. That is the biggest problem. To hell with other clubs' also bad away results, we shouldn't have it this bad to be the champions.

Earlier i said our biggest problem is getting Rooney on form again. After i said that, Rooney scored two goals (haha) but then went AWOL again. But thinking back on KingOfStretfordEnd's point, he is actually correct. Away, almost everybody plays badly. Not just Rooney, although Rooney's scoring problem applies to both home and away.

I also said we need at least one world class CM, but i didnt mean that right now.

I hope the return of Three-Lung Park and Valencia can cure our away problems..

Tell you something for nothing chaps, I watched the Liverpool game today against Chelsea and I learned two things.

1. Chelsea are over. They need more than two players and they need a new manager. They need yet another complete overhaul. With the names they had on the field, to get nothing, at home, against a Liverpool team which they had just robbed of their best player. that's awful. Liverpool created more, looked more solid, played better in all areas.

2. Liverpool are back. That they've spent the Torres money yet didn't need Suarez or Carrol, and stuffed Chelsea at the Bridge, says it all. Gerrard is a top player when he's on form, even those of us that hate him will acknowledge that, and Reina is a good keeper, but the rest of that side, I think we'd all agree, have been shit all year. Wouldn't get into our reserves on their form under Hodgson. But there they were, a team of laughing stocks and write-offs, and they broke the backs of Chelsea's superstars. Obviously they rose to the game and Chelsea shrank from it, but there was no doubt which was the better managed and better performing outfit.

Next season is going to be very hard. I've got much love for all our players, especially the young lads that have come through, but we may very well find ourselves having to look for a Hargreaves-calibre player in the summer. Especially if Fletcher doesn't buck his ideas up. In an idea world Hargreaves recovers, but I think we all know that's not going to happen.

Doghouse. Yeah I agree with most of your points but I wouldn't worry too much about the dippers. They are still a long way off title contenders. I do agree though they bloody well including stevie me who was playing out wide a lot of the tine. Carragher is the rock though. The glue that holds the back four or three in todays case together. He was superb today and didn't give the tranny or drogba an inch. At the moment they are playing for dalglish who outwitted ancelotti today. Regarding the rentboys I agree completely and have said as much earlier. They are finished. Very pedestrian. Fat frank shite. CLLC a liabilty. They looked worn out today. The defence is shambolic. What's happened to cezc? Where are the younger players who are gonna replace the aging ones? There aren't any as roman just thinks about the now whilst Fergie is two years in advance. I also said earlier that chelsea could be in the europa league in a season or two. A hideous football club.

Hello All,

I guess I wasn't the only one who was surprised - gobsmacked, really ! - to see DimitarBerbatov taken off and replaced by Chicharito when UTD were chasing the game. My "strategy" would have been to take off SIrRyanGiggs who was having one of his less-than-stellar outings and play WayneRooney in Fletcherinho's place. Wolves were backing off, protecting their lead, and packing the box. What was needed was some "beef" in attack AND a fox-in-the-box. I was OK with the substitution of Scholes for Carrick although the GingerNinja wasn't up to much and could have - should have ! - been red-carded for that volleyball flailing.

The other issue I had after the match was tactical - why continually punt the ball forward thrity or forty yards when UTD don't really have a "target man" ? Sometimes - yeah, I know, Edwin goes route one to Wazza - it works but mostly RouteOneFootie smacks of both desperation and a lack of imagination. I expect better.

So, still FIRST, four part lead on TheArse, and still the best goal difference, TheLads may still be crap but they're no longer invincible. Overall, though, not a bad weekend - TheArse choke, RentBoyz gag on their own bile, and LiverPoo get yet-another false dawn.

For me, the highlight of the weekend was the volley by Cheike Tiote which drew Newcastle level. What a fucking inredible strike !

Fergie is saying 85 points should win it but i think he is just motivating the team...no one is seriuolsy going to get there... look

Points Pld GD Remaining Possible Points
1 Man Utd 54 25 31 13 93
2 Arsenal 50 25 27 13 89
3 Man City 49 26 20 12 85
4 Chelsea 44 25 25 13 83
5 Tottenham 44 25 8 13 83
6 Liverpool 38 26 3 12 74

Possible points is based on if they win every single game.... unlikely....
i think 79-80 is going to be enough...

It's just a shame as Looserpool's result against Rentboyz further rubbed salt into our poor game against Wolves...
Reason as follows :-
1. Losing unbeaten record against the bottom team in BPL
2. Losing the game with full strength team and subs - no Gibson or JOS to blame even...
3. Losing the match when Gooners blow it big time, when Tevez thug scored hattrick (albeit via 2 pens), when Carragher and Gerrard thug helped us a hand...

I say, forget about Fergie's way of predicting champions by points...
Win the game like Wolves and a few other before this, we are ALREADY presenting the medal to honour the fallen Flowers of Manchester on their memorial....

King Eric - I like rooney and berbatov but non of them has a combination have ripped anyone apart especially away from home, at OT maybe if both play has a 2. But I do not think they work well has a pairing, chico and berbs have done the buisness while rooney looks terrible

As MyCowIsTheBest Highlighted the torres stat, lets share with u ROM dudes and dudettes about ESPN STAR PERFORMANCE on the liverpool-chelsea game.

First the english comentators ,sounded really bit sarcastic about chelsea 73 mill pound new toys.
I remember when the camera showed ancelloti, they said something like kid with new toys to play with ,yeah,50 or 70 sumthing million pounds.

I never heard english commentators take sly digs like that ,I know there surely has been but this was different. Then ESPN STAR ran a ticker at the bottom of the screen under heading trivia as MyCow has highlighted. About torres at atl madrid no trophys ,joined liver no trophys ,and something to the effect enjoy yr stay at chelsea.

Wow! overall even the pundits and staff and most over here in asia look at the chelsea move ,and torres,as a joke.

To top it off after liverpool scored against chelsea, I noticed torres wasnt sitting up straight anymore he was slouching behind almost hiding.

I am not going to rejoice about this, just laugh at it but keep in mind the danger they pose.
The possibility is ancelloti walks and as some suggested chelsea implode but only time will tell.
The method daglish used is interesting 5 across the back ,had me stunned at first, but it worked.

Dont know if mr.sulk anelka is going to be happy playing in midfeild and they sacrificed their actual dangerman malouda and to an extent kalou. so the old adage buys as many as u want but u can only fit 11 on the feild.

The commentators and some others have asked if the buys were ancellotis or romans?

2 things happened here dudes, arse got psychologically bambazzoled and chelseas arrogance got shot to peices.

Like I said too early to judge but it dosent look good for the aristrocrats of london does it?

Was worried with the days events then saw Nani score was so relieved.

Then those 2 goals got me so angry ,made worse by berba taken off and rooney staying, then watching scholes do that volleyball move.

I wanted to smack someone.

Took me till Sunday evening to calm down then hoping livers beat chelsea but seeing the stats of livers at stamford bridge wasnt good.

Game starts and no carroll or suarez and its a 5 man defence.

But it works and they do win and Im feeling better. Damage limitation complete and now we need to take back the 3 points from city this weekend.

Just to remind some of u folk, when Fergie confirmed Evans as first team player,he was doing really well, as well as Chris is doing now. Since the end of last season till now his performances hasnt
been the best,he is struggling. As is Fletcher now . We just dont dump players, we help them work thru it and come out on top. So chill dudes, keep the faith, believe.

@ dela 17.43

im not attacking nani just for the game against wolves. i dont like the way he played for this season. yes he provided the best number of assists so far, no doubt about that. yes he can score goals, in fact some of his goals are the incredible type, no doubt about that.

but i regret his lack of vision, his poor decision making. when he should pass the ball, he oftenly just shoot it and let the ball flying wide from the post. i love how he played last season, pass here and there, and bang, goal. but this season? i wish he just stayed on the bench

robson is robson. cantona is cantona. best is best. beckham is bekham. mark robins is mark robins. ronaldo is ronaldo. he's trying to much to be the next ronaldo. we dont need another ronaldo. we just need nani that played in the last season. the one who passed the ball rather than being selfish to get the goal for himself.

Evans is ok - last year he was fantastic, he is having a bad season - happens to everyone. Honestly, if I have to blame someone for the defeat, it has to be Fergie. Why start Evans at all? Why not Smalling? Why not Brown? Why Fletch and no Ando in the starting XI? Subs all wrong in my opinion - Ando subbing Fletch and Chicha subbing Rooney would have given them something to think of.

Having said that, the whole team had a bad day.The way wolves were defending for the last 20 min, the only way we could have broken them was by speed and quick positional interchange. Or through a set piece magic. Fergie and Phelan after a long conversation, passed on instructions to the players to switch positions, but it was too late. We were too slow, too static for too long. Fuck it, I just hope fergie keeps at the hairdryer the whole week, so that The Project gets a red hot iron up its collective blue arse.
