He's not gone, but they haven't offered him a contract extension yet. People on Twitter started rumours about him quitting but he's denied it. No reason why he should quit when he can 'do a Rafa' and let them buy him out his contract if need be.

Seriously I know I might be sounding like a bit of an idiot but I would not Mind us going for Sneijder again as long as its at the right price. He is the hub of the dutch team. If not for the horrendously bad finshing from the dutch attackers Sneijder might already be out of sight in the assist column for this tournament. He has already created 16 chances in two games for RVP, Robben, Affelay and Co. I bet you if Rooney was latching on to those balls he'd put in at least 4 of 5. Just my two cents on our next target.

As for Nick Powell he is a superb player isn't he? Two-footed, incredible football brain for an 18 year old. Looks like just the right player for us. Looking forward to seeing him in a few games next season.

I'm a great admirer of Sneijder, even had the pleasure of watching him live in the last Euro's when he tore France apart, but he had the opportunity last year and blew it with his wage demands. His price might drop but bet your bollocks his wage demands won't. No second chance for me.

Mikekelly12 - I think kagwa is the WS signing, he can match him on goals assists and ability to go box to box, all this with less wages and transfer fee. What we need is? a player like a scholes long term, who can hold onto the ball, and make those long range passers to our forward line

Fantastic games today and what i've learnt is, some players completely transform on the pitch when they pull on their national team's shirt. Bendthner gets ridiculed regularly but puts on denmark shirt and he causes havoc to opposition. Ronaldo rips apart teams regularly in la liga but looks devoid of ideas for portugal. I don't know if it's the pressure, his position on the pitch and the fact teams specifically target him or other unknown reasons. I thought he was poor today compared with his usual standard. Nani on the other hand yet again shows he's a world class winger, some united fans must have lost the plot when they felt he should be sold. We should do our utmost best in order to get him signing a new deal.

All in all, portugal sneaked the win and on balance, they deserved it but major improvement is needed against the dutch. Defensively and attacking wise.

Germany look impressive. combining efficieny with flair. schweinsteiger really is an outstanding complete central midfielder, incredible that he previously played on the wings. Gomez firing them in, filled with confidence at the moment.

The dutch look in disarray and best illustrated by robben's petulance. Van persie hit 30goals last season but can't hit a barn door in this tournament but that lovely touch and goal may fill him with confidence.

So, it is confirmed then. Redknapp is leaving Spurs. It really sucks. I mean, come on, the man has become the brunt of our jokes on ROM that we'll find it really hard to replace him. Just ask Cyril. He has lost half of his source material with the departures of KK and Arry. Oh well, he still has Ladyboy and Woman-beater. What will MG do now? I would love to read what Arry thinks of his departure as written by MG. That would be pure Gold.

Secondly, is "Project" the new fad in European football. Why does everybody call the club they're joining a fucking "project"? It is not a project you assholes, it is a club, a football club followed by countless fans. It is not a fucking "project" or play thing. Fuck me, I think if there is one term I hate in the whole of football right now, it is that one. Fuck you Mourinho for beginning this fad. Thank God, nobody related to United has used the word so far.
