Hello Costad finally people are starting to believe the conspiracy behind the injuries. With number of games coming up we will need more than 2 centre halves.

Good point on the Steve Keane subject. Sir Alex is held in high regard by the majority of managers because of these types of acts of selflessness!
Costas
This is the article I saw..
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2080025/Chris-Smalling-months-glandular-fever.html
I think city are attacking us with germ warfare!! After all our carrington training facilities are next door to each other. We should contaminate their water supplies!
Cedars
Can't really argue with those teams but I'll have a think! No doubting number 1 though.

NRD

No worries my friend, I had a great Christmas and looking forward to my first beer tomorrow in months. Hope you had a great time too, preferably with a big breasted Japanese babe on your lap!

@Notorious

Hi mate. I really hope Fergie will deny these rumors. It's not just the number of games. The next 2-3 months include games against City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Ajax and Spurs. Do we expect to go through all that with just Jones, Evans and Evra? Of course there's also Rio and the twins, but I am willing to bet that at least 2 of them will spend more time on the treatment table until then.

It's the nature of the injuries too. Glandular fever? We must be the only top side in the world that's had an illness like that in its ranks. I am afraid that Carrick will have to get used to the idea of playing at CB the way things are going. The whole thing has gone beyond being ridiculus.

I've not read anything but pure speculation on Smalling's purported glandular fever.

No smoke without fire, but no back-up to the theory is visible yet. Holding thumbs!

@ Cedars Quality mate go for Asahi if you can. Christmas was rubbish but not a Christmasy person. Roppongi isnt as good as it was. Cant explain further without being politically incorrect. Had a staff do 2 days ago, that was a lot better.

Thank you all for the football talk, the snide remarks at each other even the smileys. happy new year every one, till next year...

From The Sun:

HAIR transplants for men have soared since footie idol Wayne Rooney had work done on his balding bonce. Enquiries have grown by 65 per cent this year after the Manchester United ace, 26, paid around £30,000 for surgery in June.

They are now the second most popular cosmetic procedure for blokes after nose jobs.

Fergie has indeed denied the speculation:

Ferguson said Smalling was suffering from tonsillitis and will play against Newcastle next Wednesday or Manchester City the following Sunday.

"I have seen the reports," Ferguson said. "They are well wide of the mark. He has tonsillitis."

Ferguson also revealed that he could have Rio Ferdinand and Phil Jones available for tomorrow's clash against Blackburn at Old Trafford.

Link: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Manchester-United-defender-Chris-Smalling-has-tonsillitis-NOT-glandular-fever-reveals-Alex-Ferguson-article847057.html

That's good to hear, although I didn't like the Newcastle or Manchester City part. Next thing you know, he'll be back for Bolton or Arsenal. And then Chelsea or Liverpool.

Anyway, makes you wonder who and why came up with the glandular fever thing.

I hope this Smalling news is false. It would be a big blow for us if he is out for 3 months.

Man ! these injuries are really haunting us. Hope Evans becomes fit for city game.

Agreed Costas, whilst its always extra satisfying winning with players playing out of position, how long can we keep that up? Barcodes@sportsdirectstadium.com/stjamespark wont be easy. Then cit-eh l´arse chelski vermin all to come tough times ahead with a strong XI, let alone the voodoo curse Papa Shango had put on us. Nerve wracking yet exciting at the same time.

No problem guys. It's a good thing there was a press confrerence on the same day. But like Notorious, I'll wait a bit and see how the story unfolds. Fletcher's situation proved that illnesses can often get misdiagnosed. I hope the boy will be back in time for Newcastle or City because we really need him for those games.

Cedars i have to mate, certain ethnicities have fucked up Roppongi and thats the Japanese talking. After witnessing it with my own eyes hard to disagree. Werent even Allowed in with a British passport most places because I am Indian. Lets just say group of people trying to forcefully get you to go to seedy nudie bars by grabbing you, problem is these places have girls under 18 working there. BIG NO NO in my book! You be polite but I dont like people grabbing me and they get agressive, well so do I and they aint used to it. None of them are Japanese and Roppongi is just a 30 metre stretch of madness compared to five years ago when it was more relaxed. Shibuya tomorrow so will miss Rovers game been told a lot better.

Perhaps Fergie released the Glandular rumour, so that at last he'd have something positive to report in his medical round-up! He knew we needed the GOOD news that Smalling has tonsillitis, not the BAD news that Smalling has tonsillitis.

Morning everyone!

Sandeep1878, great facts and stats. What a great manager, Sir Alex, the incomparable, still going strong. Would be ecstatic when we lift the Premier League trophy this coming summer, haha, especially for him.

Berba, let's hope he scores not five, but six this time round and we overhaul city's goal difference and shut a few people's mouth's up where Berba's concerned.

Interesting insight pal, wow! As for James and Mike, we've been in touch for a while now. Got our contacts shared via STR..... We exchange emails and texts and even had a call from the buggers last week. Brilliant stuff. Both are proper REDS and match day regulars, James even has a banner for me that makes its way to all matches he attends. If they meet up with King Eric tomorrow then he will sign it...

Gotta love United, best club in the world coupled with the best supporters in the world

I will show my big heart and say I am sorry for using that 'nonsense' word which many of you must have felt offended. I was very frustrated yesterday and thats why I made that post. No harm intended.

But I have to clear something I am not anyone else. I don't have any other ids so I am not 2012 or sachu. And neither I am the one who attacked Giles Oakley. So lets finish it here.

One Ugandan grand-parent, one Ugandan parent, Two Scottish grand parents, one Scottish parent. I'm not sure how much of the blood I got, but a big part of my heart is forever Uganda. I was born in Kenya, so that some major valves are pumping for Kenya! One grand parent is a Ferrari. Obviously he was Italian, with some French extraction. Europe and Africa belong to me and I am a 'soutpeel'! A soutpeel (salty dick) stands with one foot in Africa and one foot in Europe, his dick hanging in the sea!

I'm Scottish, and proud of it! Ha Ha Ha ! ! ! Not joking, it's true and I'm happy!

That's right CedarsDevil, Sottish!

By the way, vov and Ash are snidely discussing me. I'd appreciate it if you waited until they stop that and apologise before accepting the friendliness they show now you. No amount of friendly behaviour on their part can disguise the fact that they are repeatedly setting out against me. It will carry on as long as they believe they can be a cunt to me and still be accepted. It's fucking bullshit.

The fact is that they start the issues by addressing us and me rudely, and then continue chatting.

No. They may not do that. vov apologises and then is snide about me. His apology is fucking worthless until his behaviour FULLY matches his words, not partly. No matter how friendly they are, they are simultaneously discrediting me, which means their friendliness is an ACT!

It's simple. They MUST respect our Red community, no excuses.

I don't expect anyone to take sides. However, when I am attacked I do not appreciate people chatting to my attacker as if blissfully unaware that they are scorning me. You KNOW that I accept anything you do as we are long friends already. I would never think any different of you no matter what happened. At the same time, when I'm being attacked the attacker is enabled by any positive response from by friends. You also know that the trolls ALWAYS try to suck up to friends of those they attack. It is their strategy.

It's simple. They are openly against me, while whispering in your ear.

Love you totally CedarsDevil! Anything and everything you do has my blessing, so if you prefer to continue as you have I will be happy, knowing that you are right. It's all good!

I'm afraid so CedarsDevil, on the previous thread.

I'd really like to be able to enjoy RoM without RedScot and sachu, but as they clearly live for attacking me, I must just live accordingly. When I log on to find that Ash climbing in, supporting the poster that EVERYONE has just been unhappy with, AND singling me out rudely, it's annoying. If he then chit-chats to my close friends, he is making a mockery of us.

The amazing thing is that they bring almost nothing to RoM, yet hey attack busy posters for being off topic. They want RoM to be different to suit themselves not us. Therefore they are not one of us, and their rude shouts over the fence should prevent them from mingling while poisoning. They should know their place and earn our respect not attack locals and bitch about the very conversation that makes RoM the best United blog on the net.

They want to change RoM, and claim it is for the best. Why is it that RoM is voted tops?
It's because of Scott the Red, Giles Oakley, AND because of big contributors like yourself.
