Hey Scott,

Where have you been?

All credit to Rooney though for messing it up and then fixing it up himself.Wish he stays close to the opposition area like he did after his mistake. Really brought the best out of him.Great crosses for the 2nd and 3rd goals. He should also learn to stop running all over the park. Not because he gave the ball away but because he is more influential when he is running at defenders around the opposition area rather than trying to create something by dropping deep

Credit to Berbatov for getting in to a goalscoring position (which is scarily a rarity for him) but apart from that he was woeful. He is so infuriating, it is untrue. At one point, he backheeled the ball in to nowhere and it went straight to a Hull player. Berbatov just stood there with his hands on his hips. He also berates his team mates, which is ironic because he is one of the most infuriating on the pitch.

The thing is Berbatov fans will say he isn't lazy because he tracks back quite a lot. But that isn't all there is to being hard working. For example, could you imagine Berbatov busting a gut to get on the end of a cross like Rooney does and Ronaldo used to? I couldn't.

well, it doesn't speak good about your imagination, does it? and what is this about him being infuriating... infuriating was rather the whole half line that couldn't create any situations.

maybe the whole half line could've created more chances if every time they played it into berba's feet he didn't try a no-look, over-the-shoulder, 50-yard first time through ball.

we like to play up to foot and then go wide, or up to foot then drop and go wide....

when the strikers aren't holding the ball up and linking well from their one touch play, like yesterday, we struggle.

i'm in the camp that berba must still by struggling with that ankle of his, and now there's grumblings about his knee. who knows....i know it would be nice to know, that's for sure.

it must be said, he's just too impatient in some matches...he wants everything to be perfect...

there was a moment yesterday when the ball popped to head height on his first touch, and he just held out his arms and looked to the sky and smiled as if he was thinking, "c'mon, what the fuck?" As he did so, dawson, who he was sheilding the ball from, literally just stepped around him and took the ball.

there are a number of times when defenders, in many matches, will anticipate a pass to him and step up....and berba will do his little hop and smack his thighs...

often, defenders will give the ball away immediately as they try to play out, but because berba's ranting, he's offside and therefore out of the play...which often results in the midfield having to go square or back through the retreating defense....

i think it's completely wrong to fault carrick and fletch for our unusually bad hold-up and link up play yesterday....our strikers have to help them push into positive positions and vice versa....as we all know....

i totally defend berba's play last season, especially in europe. his hold play and link up, particularly away to porto, was nothing short of world class....totally brilliant....he's so hard to mark, and i think he's unbelievably stronger than he's too often given credit for....

but let's be honest, he's not scoring enough for us...he just needs to get his head down and be the player we all know he is rather than trying to prove he's the player he thinks he needs to be - overly complicated attempts to link play which result in superfulous give aways only reflect impatience....

nearly all of Hull's really quality chances came after berba or rooney absolutely and needlessly gifted the ball to them...

no, fergie shouldn't put a leash on him and stifle him, and we all know fergie wouldn't ever do that....

that said, we could've done with him just, at times, putting his studs on the ball and playing simple yesterday....

i'm sure he'll get it together, though.

Can't belive people are still whining about Dimi!
Yesterday we saw the Dimi that United sorely need. Dropping deep sometimes, but when the ball was delivered, he got close up or into the box, making himself available and doing nice one-two's with Rooney, and also got a real poacher goal.

As for Rooney, credit to him. Takes a lot of maturity to convert a mistake like that into such a super display to flip the scores. Also, seeing him staying up in attack for most of the time, rather that dropping deep all the time was good.

Park did quite a good game, thank god! was a disaster last game, but when he came on today we got a better flow in the build up play. I think Carrick's been too much on and off lately, but hopefully in january-february he'll hit his form as he usualy does, along with the team display.

Another note; was it just me though Wiley was absolutely horrific yesterday? look at Pat's yellow card, that fucking cunt Fagan made 5-6 fouls that was WAAY worse, and he got "the last warning" 6 times! should have been off, had Wiley followed up his standards with Pat's yellow. As should that Olofinjana dude, man, he ripped Fletchers shirt from a M to a XXL!
Anyways, I'm getting sort of used to it.
Nice to see us win again, and now having a proper backline i belive we could go for a serious winningstreak!

When rooney gets tracking back wingers(see when park came on) on his side of attack, he hardly retreats. Same when he sees his midfielders being bosses in their role. That guy simply needs constant possession play from his team mates(though he's been the worst culprit this season at easily giving the ball away- just unlike him). We can say same for dimi too. No doubt rooney is world class but a great team should have a midfielder or winger as playmaker and rather than a striker. That said, despite me being berba's fan, for his bits of zidane-like displays, he's largely dissapointed me,sad to say.

as a united fan, yes we have to support every single players in our club. but im getting really impatient about berbatov. and its funny how there is still a significant number of them think berbatov has been playing very well. i have been very unsatisfied bout berbatov from the day we signed him for 30million... would love him to prove me wrong really...
