King Eric - my problem with berbatov is his form. The moaning and his body language is another concern that he is just not pulling his weight, and he nis not giving enough for the team. Last night I will keep on ice because rangers parked 2 buses a truck along with a monster truck. But since the liverpool game I just do not see him doing enough in the final third or does he look like scoring, many say well our midfield has been poor but chico has managed to score a couple of huge goals and sometimes finish some games off. For a striker of his quality, he should not be going nearly 10 games without a goal.

To be fair a lot of players have underperformed not just Berba. 10 games without a goal is poor but when you take into account this mystery virus which Berba amd many others had and also chopping and changing the team because we have to rather than want to doesn't help things. The silver lining to all of this is that despite playing the poorest football at this stage of the season for 5 years we're joint top because everyone else have their problems too. Fergie has said he won't tinker with the front 2 as much and I fully expect both Rooney and Berbatov to be firing before we play chelski and l'arse. We will start playing better football, and the team showed glimpses of it last night but Rangers are a poor side so we'll see how some of those players do on Saturday in a league game.

NotoriousRedDevil - I said this a month ago. (Despite united playing the most strangest football, we are the closest to chelsea without getting the car out of the garage).

But when you saw the way he was playing all the way up to the liverpool game, many cant believe he has now gone backwards. When he scores a hatrick in a big game like liverpool many expected him to kick on

Berba just needs one goal to get him started again....we have Blackburn at home and Blackpool away.

Berbatov, Blackburn, Blackpool, Brace from Berbatov, the stars are aligned Dimi. Score already!!!

@ Costas

In my eyes you either mind the moaning or you don't. That's pretty obvious, but i do get your point. In terms of it being an issue - you or i don't know if it is - time will tell. It's easy to say the older players would knock any of that shit on the head but that remains to be seen - this only happened last night with a senior player.

You don't mind it. I do. It's just opinions. I don't agree with your's and you don't agree with mine. I'm not dismissive of people cos i think there is a point in most things that are said on this forum.

My main point is that, not only do i not like him having a go (Christ Costas, you have me sounding like that plank Taylor, now! ) but i don't think it's good for the team regardless of who it is or who he's having a go at.

Roy used to do it to players to keep their concentration alive but this type of thing, i find ,could be damaging to some of the lads that are trying to provide Berba with chances. They're dong their best but I don't think we have the quality in midfield in terms of creativity so at the moment chances are few and far between.

My point with Ronnie is that he was the way he was and it wasn't nice to see but he could back it up so that covered over a lot of the shit that he was doing tantrums etc.

Just my 2 cents.

Berbatov couldn't score in a brothel at the moment, but Rooney could, boom boom!

@Rosser

Yeah mate, it's just opinions. And I respect yours as well as everyone else's. Wasn't trying to dismiss yours in any way. My point about minding the moaning or not, has to do with the fact that some fans may overlook a player acting out of order as long as he performs on the field. Personally I don't agree with that, but to each their own.

But I'll agree on one thing. That as much as Berbatov might complain about this or that, there's so much this midfield can do in each game. With so much possesison last night, we should put this game to bed much earlier.

Costas - when rangers parked 2 buses, a monster truck, a mini van and tesco truck 10 ft long then it was always going to be hard to score no more than 1 goal. I was just glad united had that swagger and fluency back into their game, thats been missing this season

Hi all! Happy (US) Thanksgiving...

I haven't scrutinized every post but someone mentioned that Ryan Giggs flirted with Inter Milan. The stark difference is that Giggs still fears the boss whereas Wayne Rooney really sees himself as the flagship of the team, bigger than the boss even (dare I say, John Terry like). Rooney lives in the pocket of his agent every bit as his agent lives in his.

Honestly, did you really think Giggs would've been sold off to Inter? I can't begin to imagine Giggs handing a transfer request whereas I could easily see Rooney faxing his in, via his agent of course.

Sorry tipslred, you have this wrong, Inter showed interest in him but thats all and you have no evidence that Rooney thinks in such a way, I think his relief at scoring last night showed that he wants to belong to the team not be above it, It's getting a bit tiresome when our fans start making things up in this way.

So much crap if he's not getting what he need's he is right to lash out.Any body who was anywhere near Pete Smeich got torn up for arse paper when anything went past him and most times it was his own fault.Berba haters methinks.

parryheid - peter schmecheal roy keane etc had the right to lash out, because unlike berbatov they done the buisness for united and they helped united to many titles and the famous 99 season. Like one said on here, when ronaldo was having his groans in 08/09 season, scott and many on here had a right go at ronaldo, but because he was still scoring his fair share of goals the good outweight the bad. And unless berbatov starts showing he can consistantly play well for united week in week out, then he has not got the right to moan at other players when he is not playing well himself.

berbatov better calm down moaning everytime he doesn't get the ball it kills the team spirit even though i can understand him sometimes our problem is our midfield is too conservative they never give support to the strikers they just give them the ball and stay where they are people critisizing carrick he might be a bit slow but when our midfield is under pressure he is just brilliant and tackles better than scholes wow in 2008 carrick and scholes wwere the best midfield you could dream of

Villa game aside and one more which I cannot remember I don't actually think berba has even had a bad gane all season. He just needs to get a goal as that is what they are measured on but his all round play all season in my opinion has been good. Just needs a regular partner ie rooney and more games together. Hernandez is great as a sub but feel he is better than that but when teams park the bus he struggles as he's best getting in behind the defence. He will get his fair share of starts against teams that have a go as he wayne and nani could be devastating on the counter. Off topic but once again the rentboys play home tue then sunday afternoon. We play away albeit only scotland yet play saturday. Cunts

King Eric - Like I said he needs to do more in a game than what we are getting, its like the beckham and van nistlerooy situations in their last seasons, they just did not do enough. I do not want to jinx united but after what I have seen from everyone like chelsea arsenal shitty etc, especially now with players like rooney and even carrick back in the team, even though I have criticised his performences since last season. I think united will win the league now, chelsea have proven they have no strength in depth, arsenal are arsenal, shitty still think they are better than they actually are, with united using god knows how many players I think united will win the league. But on the other hand I thought united would win the league last season

Apoligies if this has already been raised in earlier posts but ........

I've been critical of Scott continually bringing up the Rooney issue so this may appear a bit hypocritical but if you read Rooney's statement on MUTV it ices everything for me and really should allow us all to move on.

Amongst other things he makes a complete apology to the fans.

I for one believe him.

ROONEY......ROONEY.......ROONEY....

Please guys enough of the Rooney circuse. I know we are all still hurting in one too many ways from the incident and might not even feel like we used to towards him, but since he still wears the Red shirt and has finally made that apology isn't it best for us fans to get behind him as this can only add positively to the team, and give us the fans so much more victories to cheer about.

I believe he definitely owes us loads of goals, as that's all that should matter to us fans for now, and we also, although volunteerily, have to give him at least a second chance.

After all we are UNITED!
UNITED WE STAND!!
Well Never Die!!!

rooney has apologised and yet i saw one idiot united fan saying that the apology was not heartfelt enough and that his agent wrote up the apology for him. he even went as far as calling him ugly and saying that he needed a plastic surgery. WHAT THE HELL? what else do you want rooney to do before you can accept the apology? do you want him to come crying to your door covered in sackcloth? what does that say about your morals when you cannot forgive someone and then you expect someone to forgive you. don't you ever forgive? i am a million percent sure that someone somewhere has forgiven you for doing something that hurt him or her but now you can't forgive rooney because he hurt the club's feelings? i do not know about anyone here and i don't care but i forgive wayne rooney. he messed up , i was angry , i waited for the apology and now it has come. it's gone. all i ask now is for him GET BACK TO DESTROYING TEAMS AGAIN!!!!
and i just hope no one here is like the fan i have mentioned in this comment.

lol mate just saw your comment regarding Ando and Nike town. You and me both, man. you and me both.

but seriously, ando is carrying some serious baggage. when he runs you half expect the ground to reverberate. i hope he pulls it together and starts to shape up for the season, because the ando we've seen in glimpses is worth it.

Finally a formal apology. I'm willing to cast him a kinder glance when he takes to the pitch next time. But still, only time will tell.

As for Berbatov, the only obvious "moan" I saw in the Rangers game was when Scholes gave him one heck of a weak pass when Berbs had 2 markers near-abouts him. I was thinking Scholes could've done better - he did take a while to get his passes going right.

We'll only know when he's turned 50 and needs some cash, that's when he'll write a "tell it all" book and reveal the truth behind it. But then again... maybe he'll be out of cash by the time he's 40.
Like how the one time successor to Kanchelskis who wasn't a bad winger technically, but apparently not good enough a person for SAF/United, Keith Gillespie.

Well he has said he wasn't in talks with City and that he would have moved abroad, so are you saying he is a liar and you have proof? We all assumed even me that the City deal was done but have we seen any evidence other than the hysteria that turns rumour to fact, you state "people like me won't forget he was in talks with City" well two things first of all its one thing to be tapping up a player and a whole other thing to be in open talks with him and representatives and second its about time we all grew up and recognise that SAF played a blinder and that we are a better team with Rooney in it than without.

Grow up. Your last comment was ridiculous, much like your previous post.

Yet again, you didn't seem to bother reading my last message more than once. Just charged in, as seems to be the norm with you.

You know what they say about people making the same mistake over and over but expecting a different result.....

Now remember to read this a few times, so you can understand it, and slowly breathe in and out. There's a good little lad.

We both know what you meant in your "General post" and who you were aiming it at. Don't bullshit, me.

Now you just sound even more immature, if that's possible, name calling and trying, desperately, to sound witty.

I have no wish to continue talking with someone who has, YET AGAIN, failed to read a post properly before replying.

I have respect for all the views i see on ROM, provided they are not personal attacks, which your's seem to be.

As i said before, GROW THE FUCK UP!
