The commentator didn't sound as excited as you usually do after such a great goal huh? Making it sound like a "normal" effort.
Hell, it was a stunning goal!
I've said it before, and I say it again. We don't need the Benzemas & Riberys, all we need is Rooney to play upfront and click with Berbatov!

APART from that spectacular goal, Rooney was poor for England, and I mean poor. He complained recently about SAF sticking him on the left, and how Capello knew better! Well the whole 1st half practically Rooney kept finding himself on the left. Rooney has a very poor 1st touch, and he kept losing the ball, because he always lets it run away from him. Like I said, great goal, but in my honest opinion, that was Rooney's ONLY contribution of worth to this game. Gerrard was just as bad too, but he was played out of position. I am a Rooney fan, but not a fan of the non entity he was in CL final for us, and for England today!

@ Isaidso

it doesn't matter. it's 4-0, 66 games etc. I don't care.
In Rome the whole team didn't show up.

Hilarious to hear the ingurland fans chanting "ROONEY ROONEY ROONEY" they will be the same ones that claim he's a fat bastard and is rubbish just because he's a United player.

ABU nation. United >england

Spot on Red-Manc...... Rooney only gets the cheers when he scores or England..... all the ABU's can go fuck themselves

Can you just imagine that the fans that chant for Roon during the England games are not exactly the same fans that boo him during the club football games ?

May force myself to watch the highlights. I know United fans get slaughtered for our anti - Ingurlund stance but I really cannot get enthusiastic or excited by them. No interest at all. I even hate it when I see Rooney celebrating with the likes of cunts like Saint Stevie and Tiny tears etc.

May be during the world cup I will be up for it, but I seriously doubt it.

Good goal though Wayne lad.

If we are looking for a centre forward, get Rossi back, im watching Italy on bbc3 now and hes scored a screamer and provided a great assist.
Is it true that we have a buy back option from Vilarreal?

@spriter
and anyone else who wants to read :) :)
he created so much in a deeper position for bulgaria althou irelands back 4 or really dunne and oshea didnt allow them into the box he was in a very scholes position in the first half and in the second half a position that everyone wants rooney to play in just behind the stricker that came on dimatov (spelling?)
and as i say irelands defence did there job
but the only real chance in the second half they got is when berbatov himself weived his way true with fantastic footwork shot given saved
i really think its the best ive seen him play since hull at home and i really like berbatov(>tevez)
he was the strong heart of a team that battered everything irish in the second half apart from the net

Fine Arsene Wenger. I think that Capello could be the guy who will keep these massive egos in check.I think that England and Spain are the two favorites for the World Cup.Carlos Quieroz won tonight with a goal in the 93rd minute but he still has a lot of work to do.

i think it would be good for the country if england won the world cup, no doubt about it, to be honest id even like to see becks at the world cup gettin a medal,iv never thought he was an outstandin footballer but he always has a good attitude and he dont really come across as charlie big bollocks like lampard an gerrard

When did Beckham do that arsene? I don't remember the game. Stevie Me has also kicked Rivaldo in the head, but he is the media darling so no one said anything about it. The trouble with World Cups outside Europe, is that European teams never win them.

@Isaidso: Bruno Alves mate. The defender who gifted Rooney the ball if you recall.Ronaldo played the 90 and Nani came on in the 76th minute.

it was in the 90's,infront of the northbank,i think we beat you 1-0 ,dennis bergkamp scored the winner, megged schmeichal@tiny tears, it was a loose ball in the 6 yard box,he kicked his head like a free kick lol the full bend it like beckham style

Costas
i got up during the first half and went to the kitchen and said to my misses this is so hard because berbatov was doing so well but i didnt want him to beat ireland because 1 or even 3 points ment alot
but i cant honestly hand on my heart i really wanted berbatov to shine, which he did, i want people to shut up and watch berbatov to see how class the guy is instead of watching him to see him not running as much as park and calling him a lazy fecker
i wanted him to shine
and shine he did
and im so happy with that
Berbatov is class and there is only a few players i have ever called class
