That was just dreadful, but we strangely still managed to bag all three points. Rooney looking pissed when token off is not him over-reacting. I would be pissed if i was in his place. He got NO service from the midfield, had to play upfront on his own and get subbed when there were worser players on the pitch who needed to be taken off.
It just frustrates me when Fergie plays this negative anti-football formation against teams we should be easily ripping apart (No disrespect to this team intended).
Carrick is just not getting any better infact maybe worse. I am in no way saying he is shit BUT HE IS PLAYING LIKE SHIT CURRENTLY. We all know what he is capable of.Anderson needs to be played further up and only alongside a DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER. Valencia is VERY limited and cant seem to pass the ball well. I will give him the benefit of the doubt since he came from Wigan to MANCHESTER UNITED and hasnt really settled in. But seriously he needs to start performing.
Only positive from this game
VIDA'S PERFORMANCE HE WAS A ROCK AT THE BACK. And Evra being Outstanding AGAIN!
Another thing.
Berba needs to START these kind of games. Fergie is totally over doing the whole rotation bullshit!
A MAN CITY THRASHING WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED AFTER THIS kinda shitty-ish display!
COME ON UNITED !

Chill out mate, typical shitty United away European performance. A few years ago, we'd lose games like this regularly - now we win them without getting out of second gear.

Paul Scholes- to all the doubters who said he should retire......the best player ever at arriving from deep in the right place at the right time. form is temporary, class is ginger.

Aren't you bored of criticising Sir Alex while you know that in the end he'll be the one laughing, as always?
It's still September! May is light years away.

Yeah mate take it easy. What did you expect? Another Tottenham experience? This isn't FIFA on Playstation you know. New ground, new intimidating atmosphere, new opponents, wholly different football. Ferguson was testing them. Typical United away European performance.

I'm happy with the three points. Happy with Scholesy :). Not happy with Rooney's little tantrum.

confoundedbridge and Androo - Spot on lads. NEVER an easy place to play Istanbul. We drew our first game last season at HOME. A good three points.

Yeah. Chill down mates. I feel weird with some united fans always wanting they want beautiful game. It's not every time you can and given tonight fans reception, it's so deafening and so it's really a good result. If you still can't understand then maybe i guess you should not think too much.

I been thinking if we were to play defensive counter attacking like we always play in euro in last season CL final, we would win Barcelona but Sir Alex opt for the beautiful game for those who wants beautiful game fans and we lost.

We should be happy with the result and not just want beautiful game all the time and not get the result like Arsenal. If there is still some who wants the beautiful game then i suggest you to support Arsenal.

It's disappointing to see some united fans not happy and saying this and that play is not good. Come on if you support man united please support in the right way.

It is never easy against turkish opposition so this was a good three points in the bag for us although i would of liked berbagod to of started as we all know he can hold the ball up and bring the our attackers into play as its tough to play on your own upfront even if your wayne rooney! no fresh injury concerns so we are in good health and ready for the bitters....oh sunday cant come soon enough!

Dimitar Berbatov is King September 16, 2009
Good result, and get off the back of our players. They are only human. I rather get the 3 points today than have the result haunt us.

So bring on shitty. I will like to see them know just who's the boss in EPL.

Well I thought Valencia contributed well to the goal, as we can see at the start of the video, he's the one who passed to Nani. So far we have played 5 games, won 4 and lost 1. It's United we are talking about, and so early in the season I think we should be happy with the way it's going.

Let's give the players a break! Like a few who mentioned, it's an away game in an intimidating stadium and as SAF pointed out, our last group game is away at Wolfsburg, it pays to be cautious and get the win - which we did. Nonetheless, pls stop fucking our own players. In Fergie We Trust!
