ARGENTINAAAA! You've gotta love Tevez, quality player

Also all you people on the 'Berbatov is shit' bandwagon i think its time you jumped off because he played a vital role in that goal, and he's also the player with the most assists so it isnt the first time, he might not be scoring but he's doing a good fucking job for us.

Along with Vidic's goal vs Sunderland, that was one of the most deserved goals this season. Stoke is one pathetic team. I'm surprised that they had only one person sent off for all the times they kicked our players up and down the pitch, and the fact that the crowd applauded that one player like some hero for getting sent off just shows what prats they all are.

So thank you Tevez, for helping them on the way to relegation!!!

Let me first say....when the chips are down, Carlos fucking Tevez to the rescue!!! Delighted with the 3 points today, that was vital. And winning ugly away from home wins titles.

HOWEVER, I thought our play was terrible. And rooney and ronaldo are embarrassing themselves and need to get their fucking heads straight. Both of them should have been sent off, then Ronaldos wouldn't be on the pitch to get the stoke lad sent off and we draw the match or even possibly lose, being 2 men deservedly sent off and all. What the hell is wrong with them?

I agree. Hull City players and fans were humble and respectful. Unlike those Stoke mongers. 5-0 OR 1-0, they still lost. But I gotta hand it to them, for a moment there I though they were gonna come up with some sort of a miracle and take the game away.

Gary Neville... played a good game today, I still have faith in him he just needed lots of games after all that time out, all is not lost for him

good shout Drew Vader - Tevez never stops running and has scored vital goals for us time and again - Spurs and Blackburn last season are prime examples of games which looked lost until he popped up in injury time on both occasions and then again at Stoke Shitty today.

But Roo and Ron - what is going on????? SAF needs to get to them both and sort their heads out - Ronnie is still living off the last 2 seasons which aint good enough at United - it's all about what you are going to win as oppose to what you've won - time moves on and although we all sing about what we've won (and what the dippers haven't!!) I for one want to stick to all those who say we will not win anything this year (Viva John Terry!).

As for Roo - someone needs to tell him that the pitch aint a flamin boxing ring so he should stop trying to do impressions of Hatton. United for the double if we avoid senseless suspensions.

@zc1175

I hear ya mate. Roo and Ron were invisible. Particularly Ron. What the hell? Half the time when he got the ball he didn't do anything with it except prance with it a little. I was hoping he'd rise up and shut the Stoke baskets up.

Fucking bastard Graham Poll is making comments about United players misbehaving and getting away with misdemeanours, yet he clearly thinks Terrys actions are acceptable because he is the England captain. I don't for one minute defend Rooney and Ronnies actions as I think it was naughty and both were fortunate to escape any punishment, although the cunts that are the FA will no doubt examine the video footage and will probably take action. Funny how they let the Alex stamp go depsite the fact that he blatantly stamped on Cahill.

I am sorry but i am afraid that at least Ronaldo is heading for a ban.He has gotten away with this one too many times this season. And he deserves it.I just hope that he doesn't get suspended for violent conduct because he will miss 3 games.Rooney i believe is safe.He swung an elbow but that was just part of him tussling and getting into a better position with Faye. But Ronaldo really needs to get his head under a water tap and soak it good.I know that he wanted to play for Real and i can undestand why has half the goals that he had this time last year.He doesn't have to act like a spoiled brat though.5 years next to Giggsy he should have learned about getting kicked and not retaliating.Ooops,i got carried away, this thread is bout the goal.Well played Dimitar.70% of the goal is his.The other 30% belongs to Carlos because once agian he was at the right place at the right time.On the plus side,it was a small thrill to see Gaz Nev be a part of a goal again.Rafael is great going forward, but the captain has been there for 15 years and his timing is still perfect.Too bad he is not as good anymore when the game is at a high tempo.

This is an interesting point of contrast with last year's interchangeable style of play - Ronaldo is kept closer to the wing and is easier to mark out of the game. This becomes very apparent when Berbatov is in the game.
Why ? I think that SAF wants to experiment in real game action to see how he can combine his diverse attacking talents. So far it's not worked very well and I wouldn't be surprised to see a re-jigging in the near future into something more like a 4-2-3-1 - the big issue seems to be "who will have the discipline to play forward as the "1" ? All four of these guys - Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, and Berbatov get in each other's way because they like to roam. When it works, it's dynamite; but when it doesn't work it's kinda like constipation.

What more is there left to say? Fuck. Top, top man.

It's a shame we can't get a massive stand-size Argentina flag in for the 'Boro game to display for him. Or that we'd be sure 100% of the fans would want to, either.

Props to Berba, it must be said. I admit I was beginning to wonder where £30m was maifesting itself, but if he can keep doing that, I'll be the first to STFU and sit down.

They *can* all play together, but we'd be a lot narrower for it. Tev on the left (like he was at WHU), Ron on the right, Berba and Roon up top.

@Tony Starks: apart from the headed clearance to deny little Danneh Pugh, I'm afraid I didn't see much else exceptional from RedNev. For every good, there was bad. Yes, he played his part in the goal, but at one point he was alongside Scholesy in midfield trying to play through balls (and failing, obviously, since he in't Ginger!) Sadly, he's got to get used to picking up the slack games from Rafael, who is now first choice.

Am not saying Neville should be first choice now, but he is good to have, especially against dirty teams like Stoke away. I would rather have him in our squad than not

Oh yeah, no doubt about it mate, that's not even up for debate, I just thought your "all is not lost" comment was a bit optimistic, that's all.

It kills me every time I say it/type it, but his playing days at the top level are numbered I'm afraid. Whether or not he'll be happy being 3rd choice once Wes is back and match fit again is what interests me. If so, we can get another season's service from him, if not, then it's onto the coaching staff.

Gary didn't play really good but he showed great improvement, and that's what's so great. HHe might still be able to become good enough.

As for the Rooney-Tevez-Ronaldo-Berbatov attacking formation, Tevez on the left, Ronaldo on the right, Rooney in the middle and Berbatov in front of him sounds great. In that way if Berbatov has the ball, he could weight his options and either try to score or pass to the others, who are rushing in the to the goal.

Question to all...
With the wealth of talent we have, and if SAF was intending to buy or sell in Jan, who do you think should go and more importantly who could he bring in?

Right now nobody should leave Man.United.Most of the players are considered first team regulars and that's SAF's big achievement. He has built a big squad where everyone can play a significant part when called upon. However i believe the team need a back up for Evra.

Thats what fabio is there foor Costas. Apparently he is even better than rafael so we should have a wealth of talent at fullback. Not to worry!

And i honestly dont think the fab 4 would work. SAFfy just needs to rotate tevez and berbie regularly enough, cause we definitely need the width. Nani should have played stoke imo cause he is a real handful against lesser teams but does not have the composure or experience to play bigger teams.

Has he fallen for grace or sumthign? I havent seen him play in absolutely ages and with Tosic and Lillac coming in i reckon we could see him leave!

UUUUUUNITED!(nice nickname!) i wouldn't hold my breath yet on the two Serbians. From what we are hearing from SAF and the media, they will not come until the summer.I don't think Nani will leave just yet.Next summer the Ronaldo saga will flare up again and Giggsy will be reaching 36.I think Tosic will come as a back up and not to take over Nani's spot.I think SAF is frustrated over Nani's lack of progress this season.I don't know if it has to do with Quieroz's departure but he doesn't seem to know how and when to utilise him.The Boro game is a good chance for him to get back in the groove. With the lack of quality wingers out there these days,we can't afford to let the Nani experiment fail. And finaly,i also believe that the fab 4 can't play together.I think we have to totate them in a manner that suits us.For example, the Boro game might suit Berbatov better that Tevez. As far as Ronaldo goes,Giggsy was right recently. His best season in terms of football was the 06-07 one.Now that he is back to playing mostly as a winger he needs to rediscover that form.Goal assists are equally as important as goals.

We have to be careful with Fabio.Just like Rafael he has to be eased into the side.Had the game with Derby not been a semi final i would have liked him to have started there.I think we will see him debut as a sub at some point but he has ti get some reserve game action first. The Tevez situation is a touchy one at this point. The way things are now,if he leaves a lot of fans will be angered that we spent 30mil on Berbatov instead of tying up Tevez.Let's just hope United have an ace up their sleeve.I would hate to see him in Arsenal or Ream jersey.

On current form i would agree with you. It's just that there would be no balance with that line-up.And yes,Wayne could play as a winger but that would be a waste of his talents.

WE NEED TO BENCH RONALDO.
Fergies utter insistance to play him every single possible minute is only waring him out whilst dangerously feeding to his mega-ego.
I honestly dnt know why Nani hasnt come on for ronaldo in his United career...he hasnt been playing at all this season!!? i know all u nani haters will be givin it this and that but its a valid point. in the last 5,6 games Ronaldos performances have been kinda shit plus his temperment has been questionable to say the least. He was lucky not to see red vs Villa away, he saw red vs City, then he's been lucky to stay on vs Spurs AND Stoke. All this yet Fergie aint even considered takin him off once!!
its like Fergie is so in love with the boy its affecting his sight! in all those games it was obvious something was going to happen with ronaldo. yet no no no we cant afford to take him off?! is that what hes saying to himself coz if it is i think we have a problem...!

People may think its just because i dont like him but its not, ronaldo should be benched for a couple of games he isn't actually doing much and i think he just expects to play EVERY game and he's not delivered so far this season, obviously it will be very hard for him to perform aswell as last season but he's been quite shit so far not just in terms of goals but he isn't even playing well in general maybe abit of time on the bench will do him some good.

I would say that the Boro game presents a good chance to see how the team funcions without Ronaldo.Give Nani a chance.Fergie should remember how he treated Beckham in 2001.After the England-Greece game he noticed that he was getting really tired so he benched him for 5-6 games in the Chistmas period.I don't know how he is physically(remember that he didn't do pre season training) but mentally Ronaldo is burned out.Give him a one week break, let him get some sunshine and get him back fresh in time for the Chelsea game.

Fabio has just made his Reserves debut, give him time! All things being well, he should make an appearance in the second leg against Derby, hopefully, but I won't be disappointed if we don't see him - it just means they want to be sure he's fully fit.

Nani's absence is a wonder. Obviously SAF is seeing something in training that we're not.

Perhaps Fergie thinks that the best treatment for Ronaldo is as many minutes on the pitch as possible. Anyway, I don't like Nani at all but I would've loved to see him replace Ronaldo against Stoke.
