Games just finished 2-2, and their fucking manager jumps to his feet arms aloft cos his shit team hasn't been beat at OT. What is it with visiting teams ...don't they want to play us, or do they just wanna defend all the fucking time?

United's potential opponents in the next round.

Inter
Sporting Lisbon
Atletico Madrid
Lyon
Real Madrid

Don't know if Villareal could be in it as they were in our group?

Aalborg manager said "this is the biggest result ever for the club" A two all draw, that says it all.

Thought Anderson played well, passing superb, Good to see Scholes. Realise what we have been lacking in midfield. Again passing quality tonight. Shocking ball by Gibson for second goal and bad goalkeeping and defending for first. At least we go through winners and also equal the 19 game unbeaten in Europe record.

Is there any doubt in anyones mind which two teams we will get in the next round?? I would bet my life it will be either Inter or Madrid. Inter for the press to jack off about Mourinho and Madrid for all of the obvious reasons.

Aalborg made Sunderland look second division by comparison. We got the end result, but I'd be fuming if we lost the group over this. Lax, lazy performance.

What the fuck was up with Rooney last night? He looked possessed, and determined to do damage to someone. I love the lad, and stated here before he represents us better than anyone on the pitch and could be a future captain, but 2 or 3 times last night he went above and beyond.
He stood on a lad in the first half, which looked an accident to be fair, but in the second half when he got a bit of a push in the back when going for a through ball and should of got a free, but he stretched full length to stick his cogs on the back of another defenders leg?
Two more times after the ball went, he kicked out at defenders. Im sure he was getting a bit of rough treatment from the defenders, and maybe a bit of verbal, but another ref on another day could of sent the lad off. I cant help thinking the petulance shown by Ronaldo since the summer could be affecting Rooney, cause he was losing the plot last night.
I love the lad, and the fight he shows on the pitch is class, but there are lines he cant cross, or he'll be sitting in the stands and then he's no good to anyone. If this was done by an opposition player on any of our stars we'd be going mad. I was surprised Fergie didnt take him off to be honest, before he got sent off...

Now let's all watch Rooney get a ban and Man Utd get harshly treated again =/

It won't be harsh if he gets suspended. A more strict ref would have sent him off for the second 'challenge' when he deliberately studded the defenders leg, for no reason I might add. I don't think the stomp was deliberate though.

Bottom line is that last night was more or less a friendly. If he can't hold his head together for 90 minutes against some mean old Danes giving him verbals, then that just isn't good enough. The more Fergie defends him, the more he does it. Same with Ronaldo's petulence.

Fergie is losing his edge. Both Rooney and Ronaldo should be getting benched for their actions. Or else neither are going to improve.

The "Stamp" appeared accidential but the lunge was just stupid..... I would be surprised if he gets away with it...
ON a plus though....... Scholes was back to his best as soon as he came on..... Legend.....
What happened with Ben Foster????

northstand, beachryan, daveob....spot bloody on....yep rooney is a top player...but what he was doing acting like a clown yesterday was just beyond me. Why the fuck can he just not play within the fuckin rules. Now he'll fuckin face the wrath of uefa once they deliberate over what punishment to dish out. Childish fuckin behaviour...

Yep..on a good not great to see The ginger prince back spraying the passes
