I must admit to having watched Ribery only for France and he sure is talented, but I think we are more than capable of handling them.
And Robben - ha ha, we know all about him, I'm not worried about him at all. If we don't stop him, I will be of the opinion that we didn't perform well.
The thing we need to wary of is the overall play of bayern - they play a very tight game. But United are much too experienced and I'm happy with how Fergie has got us playing for European games. Two successive finals speaks for itself. Trust in Sir Alex.

Ribery is good, but he can't single handedly win it.

The counterattack speed of rooney and the young mid (nani, valencia, park, fletch) is our edge this season and if their back 4 are not ready, they will just be another "Milan".

Barca have lost their cutting edge since Eto'o's departure. With Ibrahimovic their team balance is off. Ibra isn't the clinical striker who finishes 9 out of 10 chances. He can create, but so can Henry and Messi, what they need in the middle is a finisher. It was a really bad decision to replace Eto'o with someone like Ibra, and I agree with Mourinho when he says he got the better end of the deal. Two players, roughly the same age, one is a wannabe world class player, Eto'o was a proven striker. No wonder they aren't as fluent as they were last year.
Of course that won't make it any easier, as the battle was lost in midfield last season, but this time around, if it comes to it, we will have Fletch, who has also improved this year, again, as he does every season it seems, and the trio of Carrick, him and Scholesy is working like a dream. No need to think Barca have anything we don't. If anything, our current form makes us equals, and our bench strength makes us superiors to Barca.

Back on topic,
Well Ribery is not what Bayern sometimes make him out to be, but he is still a good winger, and he can be dangerous. Pace and good two feet. So yes he is a threat, but not a Messi or a Ronaldo. Of course how our inexperienced/extremely experienced RB(s) deal with him is a completely different story. I will go with Rafa for this one, coz Ribery is pretty quick, and that is a very vital weapon for him, we will need a quick full back on the right, even if a bit inexperience and rough around the edges.
But can you imagine what this season could mean for Rafael? Ronaldinho, Ribery, and possibly Messi and Chamakh or that other dude from OL, whose name I forget. Wow, this kid will be ready next season. Fergie is fast tracking him.

PS: All that video showed was that he has a good long range shot. Personally, United have come up against better.

And, if we persist with Nani on the left for long enough, he will surpass Ribery imo. Not the mot earth shattering achievement, but still, I fully believe Nani has more talent than this guy.

they have alot of decent players , but personally i would only take ribery into the utd team , maybe lahm , over 2 legs the strongest team usually prevails , that will be us , they will be more scared of us than we are them , got to say though would love ribery at utd also loved his penalty in the vid !!

Great player, great team but ill go as far to say we are the best team in europe at the moment, and as paddy mentioned on the first post we are too strong over 2 legs, they along with every other team did not want united in that draw!

Also the fact of us playing at home in the leg that really matters in a big advantage!

Not happy about the sudden date of the away leg, cant quite get the money together to
go to the Azul as i had planned !!!!

SAF has to play it tight over both legs - can't see him playing anything anything other than 5 across the middle. How well that five play will dictate the pressure put on the back four. Reckon JSP wilb eplayed in a similar role as he was in v Milan and Valencia / Nani / Giggs (whoever plays of thise three) will be playing as much defensively as attacking and paying close attention on Robben (one good tackle and he will disappear) and Ribery

If we can come away with a score draw or a one goal win reckon we have a shot.

Robben has been one of the players of the season in the Bundelsliga and is currently in similar form to Rooney.. Never write him off....
