It's a shame that the 2 lads had to miss out on final especially Roy considering it was his performance which remains the greatest midfield performance I've ever seen, as fergie said it was the most selfless performance I've ever seen, he covered every blade of glass, he'd of rather died of exhaustion than loose that match!

That Keano moment really revitalized the squad, not that we had been playing badly either. But man what a year to remember.

I can't really remember in recent years where a team had to go through a baptism of fire like we did in 99. Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Juventus and back to Munich for final. That was a crazy and most memorable year.

yes tommy, keane & scholes missing out on the final was a shame. That piece of selflessness by keane was missing in recent Man Utd squad and it was one of this reason i watch united, if we were to lose, we wont go down without a fight.
