When Manchester United played Leicester City last season, Jamie Vardy was an unknown chav with crap hair. He stole the show though, thanks to his cheating, but that was largely overlooked by the press at the time. The fairytale of the newly promoted team coming back from 3-1 down to beat United 5-3 made a much better story, so that’s what they went with.
The turning point of the game is seen above. First Vardy fouled Rafael da Silva outside the penalty area, then ran in to the box and dived. Unlike his dive on Sunday against West Ham, Vardy wasn’t booked, but instead was awarded a penalty.
