Ahead of Manchester United’s Champions League game against Young Boys, our U-19s beat theirs 6-2 in the UEFA Youth Group league to claim top spot in the group.
United went a goal behind before Aliou Traore selflessly played in Mason Greenwood in to equalise. Greenwood then put United ahead after picking up the ball in his own half and going on a great run. Young Boys drew level again, before D’Mani Mellor won a penalty which Aidan Barlow scored in the 78th minute to restore our lead.
Two minutes later, Brandon Williams was fouled in the area. With Barlow substituted Tahith Chong stepped up to take the penalty and scored to put us 4-2 ahead. Four minutes from time, Dylan Levitt scored thanks to another assist from Traore. Just over a minute later D’Mani Mellor scored United sixth, making it four goals in 12 minutes. United are in the next round.
