Danny Welbeck seemed to have put the England U-21s through to the semi-finals of the European Championships, before two late goals from the Czech Republic knocked them out.
England needed a win to progress following their draws against Spain and the Ukraine. It was a disappointing tournament for England, although most of the United lads can be proud of their performances. Welbeck scored their only goals, whilst Chris Smalling and captain Phil Jones played very well.
