Just posted about this on another thread. Well deserved and reckon it won't be the last that Vidic receives this season. Player of year? In my view, so far, yes, by a country mile.

Both men totally deserved these awards.Vida has really estblished himself as a rock in the United back four even without Rio next to him.I really hope we won't miss him at Milan.Off topic here, but does anyone know what's the latest on Tevez? The Mirror yesterday said that we would be offering him a new contract but since then there has been nothing but silence.

Great to see Vidic getting the glory he deserves - been such an underrated player by the masses for a long while, due to being a defender and not being british.

Off the subject I know but......

The 24-year-old was duly recognised with both the Ballon d'Or and the Fifa World Player of the Year awards.

However, Inter coach, and former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho recently claimed his side's Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a better player.

Ronaldo, though, has refused to be drawn into a war of words, adding: "I respect everyone's opinion. But the trophies that matter are at my house."

VIVA RONALDO!!!!!!!

Vida well deserves it, he should get player of the year too. I think that there has been noone better than nemanja in the premiership this year, he's the bookies favourite too...

Nemanja Vidic > Legend-in-the-make... Unquestionably the best defender in the league. Hope he gets the Player of the Year gong too. Vida sweats blood for us. The strength and steel he shows in every game cant be surpassed.
