Nemanja Vidic gave a moving speech at the end of United’s 3-1 win over Hull last night.

Having completed the lap of honour, Vidic took to the mic in front of the Stretford End and thanked the fans for all the support they had given him.

After the game, Vidic revealed that United will always be in his heart.

“Physically I will leave but my heart will always be at this club. I’ve spent so many years here,” said Vidic. “I’ve worked with so many great people and will always watch and care about United. It was a tough season. It has been a tough night – it was very emotional.”

Vidic has no doubts we will be able to buy a top player to replace him and that the club will return to where it’s supposed to be next season.

“A lot of players leave the club and a lot come here,” he added. “United will always be the same and will always attract good, big name players. I don’t think it will be any different when the transfer market starts.”
