Nemanja Vidic has today spoken about our new Serbian signing, Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic. After not signing Ivanovic, another Serbian we’d been linked with, Vidic is pleased that fellow Serbs have joined the club.

“It’s great for Serbia and it’s great for me to have people from the same country around me,” said Vidic. “I hope they have a good time here and a big career at United. I’m here to help him [Tosic]. I think he’s going to show his quality and personality at this football club. It’s like they are in a dream at the moment. I can see they are very happy. It’s going to be a good time for them.”

Vidic had a tough time settling it at United, but says that Tosic and Ljajic wouldn’t need any convincing to join.

“I think all players need time to get used to the English game,” he added. “It’s different and I found it a bit difficult at the beginning. But I don’t think I have to convince anyone to join Manchester United, the best team in the world last year. Everyone wants to be part of this squad.“
