After Chelsea beat Spurs 2-1, thanks to a goal that didn’t cross the line and a goal that was offside, CLL believed that his team were ready to win the title.
Sadly for him, he clearly hadn’t checked United’s home form before talking up there chances, leaving him crying at the hands of United yet again.
What a difference a week makes, eh JT?
May 2nd 2011: “We’ve never allowed ourselves to stop believing we could come back and United know we will never give up. I always believed. We go there really fresh, full squad of players and full of belief. As we showed last year by going to Old Trafford and winning a decisive game in the Premier League, there’s no reason why we can’t go there and win again.”
May 9th 2011: “We felt it was in our hands and we could come here and we could win the game. We came hoping and praying that we started well and the role was completely reversed.”
