United’s record against Everton is outstanding, so it’s no surprise that they are long odds-on at 1.33 with bet365 and Paddy Power to beat the Toffees at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men have won 29 Premier League games against the Merseyside outfit – the joint-most by one team against a single opponent in the history of the competition.
They have also not lost in the last 18 home games in the PL against David Moyes’ men, winning 15 and drawing 3.
The Red Devils have also score in their last 47 games on home soil, and have won their last seven at home.
Those are very impressive stats, and perhaps the only surprise is that Wayne Rooney doesn’t have a very good record against his former club.
Wazza has scored just two goals in 11 games against them, and that makes him look plenty short enough at just 3.6 with Betfred to net the opener.
Better value could be Chicharito who in both games he has played in between the two sides at old Trafford. He is a 5 chance with Boylesports and Paddy Power to score first, and that looks worth a wager in my book. Boylesports also go a standout 2.1 about him netting anytime, and that looks terrific value given that some firms go just 1.73.
Also, given that Everton have scored just two goals in their last seven league trips to Old Trafford, and have failed to net in their last three, the 2.05 on offer with bet365 about United winning to nil makes plenty of appeal from a betting perspective.
I fully expect nothing other than a comfortable win, and my idea of the outcome is a 2-0 or 3-0 victory.
Those outcomes have been priced up at 6.5 with bet365 and 8.5 with Paddy Power respectively and split stakes on both should hopefully net some decent profit.
